Have to disagree, I only buy ALDI beers when we have family get together or my brother in law visits, good stuff goes in the fridge in the garage until they’ve gone. They do/used to do a Newcastle Brown Ale version called Bridge Town Ale, tastes OK after a few bottles.

Lidl's Perlanbacher lager 6 bottles for £3.99 is decent but they also sell Hobgoblin, Doombar, Newcastle Brown, Old Speckled Hen all at £1.39 a bottle. Their own Hatherwoids range of beers is pretty good at £1.09 a bottle. All 500ml.

I used to drink Grolsch when I thought it was cool in the 90’s, not had it since due to the memories🤔

Also available on these home style draught machines and it's excellent on there too. Treat yourself and get one or six in you.

I'd take Augustiner over them, but at twice the price I'll stick with the Tesco offering. Love Aldi and Lidl for most things, but find the beer disappointing. Tesco and Morrison's generally much better for beer than ASDA and Sainsburys.

Lidl do decent beers especially during the Beer Festivals they have. Always put on some decent Love Lane's which is a great Brewery from Liverpool.

Aldi do a very nice American IPA and when it's available a Belgian Blonde in a 75cl bottle which tastes just like Leffe for a much lower price. On the whole though I think they have a very good and very reasonably priced range of beers in my opinion.

Cheers lads, very decent prices.
Had written the budget supermarkets off after a few bad experiences, but will have another look.

Please, for those of us ‘hard of thinking’ explain what a “Very nice American IPA” is… And to contort your next thought “when it will be available?”

We popped out Friday for an hour or so, 3 pints of Peronni, 1 latte for the wife and a plate of Nachos £30 total, no wonder people flock to the likes of Aldi.
My daughter was in Ibiza last week with her mates they were trying to get her go to a club where the minimum spend was £250 f that for a lark.

I was in Mykonos the other week and one place was £10 to park and £18 a bottle for 250ml of some pretentious organic piss! Cocktails were £25-£30 each Followed that with a trip to the US straight after where $9 a pint felt like a god send by comparison!

Aldis 'Alska' bottles of flavoured cider are by far the nicest out there - I favour the dark fruits variety, its bloody lovely
Their 'Magners' rip off Orchard at 89p a bottle/pint is also delicious
Lagers I agree, I buy them when family visit 😂😂
