I don’t think Benik deserves to be called a twat or cunt to be honest. He’s gone through some unimaginable, horrendous times and I know I’d never come back from it. However he’s been an awful signing for us, but guess what? He’s part of a long list of awful signings for us over the last few years. I wish him all the best and hope he reignites his career. I’m glad he’s off our books though. Absolutely. Unfathomable what that would do to a parent.

Yes, 2 replacements we won't bring in.

Prediction time. Afobe will score more goals this season than our top scorer. And probably comfortably so. Crap deal. A massive wage off the bill and 500k which allows us probably to sign 2 replacements. A player who would not have played for us again. Yeh, crap deal. Where has this £500k come from? He was on c£1.5m PA. Do we really think Millwall have agreed to pay that and another 500k on top for a player they only own for 1 year? More likely we have sold for 500k, which goes towards paying off his £1.5m contract.

I'm sure Millwall will have an option to add time to the contract, as is the way now

Has it actually been confirmed? According to my Millwall supporting workmate it's done.

First game of 2nd season down, QPR at home, shit team performance despite huge (misplaced) optimism and he failed to chase a ball and got booed. Did he play for us again after that?
He must run his bollocks off for millwall because 0 chance they’d accept a player not busting a gut for the shirt.

I never got why Kevin Phillips had such a boner for Afobe in the first place. He'd literally had one decent season at Championship level for Wolves, but had done very little anywhere else and was 4th-choice striker at Bournemouth. Why you'd spend £10m on that, I have no idea.

Hope he gets injured for the season so wanky millwall have pay his wages for fuck all like we have done all this time I don’t think Afobe deserves that! He has experienced enough bad things. Was also said he was among the good guys in the dressing room.🤔 It isn’t his fault he was offered a good financial deal here The team didn’t really make good use of the strengths of his game Good luck to him, just hope he’s on the losing side when he plays against us

If you believe the rumours, the club had a boner for Dwight Gayle. Neither player suited to the 433 Rowett wanted to play. Mind blowing.

I never understand when a player has been the best part of totally wank over an extended period for us we get worried about how he will perform elsewhere.
It hasn't worked out at all here over 4 years. The bloke is on mega money and needs shifting, if he goes on to have some success elsewhere then good for him, thanks for nothing and best of luck. We can move on and use that chasm of wages in our budget to be able to improve elsewhere in our team.
Yes he we probably score on the first game of the season against us, that happens so often with players playing against former clubs. But it won't effect my overall opinion that getting rid is the best for both parties due to extent of the wankness for us this deal has been.

Correct,if he goes on to get 15-20 goals at Millwall,he was never going to do it here. Might as well free his wage up for someone else who's probably not going to be any better 😆

Car crash of a signing and a relief he's gone at last. The fact we couldn't unload him and he chose Millwall shows how little he's rated by others also.

He didn’t look quick, he couldn’t hold the ball up, he couldn’t be bothered to run or jump.

Is that the last of the late-era Prem disasters and Rowett's summer of absolute carnage gone? Well, nearly.... And then there was one.

Genuinely one of the most disappointing players I have ever seen wear the shirt - and there’s been a few. Goodness knows what happened as he has been ok before and after but while he was here I just couldn’t see one redeeming feature of his game.

Whichever way we dress this up there can be no doubt that in effect we have paid Millwall to take him off our hands. So the grim reality is that you are correct, Stoke City have paid the undisclosed fee!

Think the idea is to bin anyone the club can either get out on loan or perm transfer away from the club before July 1st.

That we have spent 12 million on a crap striker who beforehand had only scored more than 10 goals in a season twice (one of which was in league one) was laughable.
That we can't find a way to use him properly and then loan him out to a rival (for free) managed by the ass that pushed for him while we eat into ffp just sums up Stoke very nicely.
