All of my shoes creak. Why is that?
My old Reebook walking shoes, my brand new nice Senator leather shoes, my boots from Timberland, some old Adidas handball/leisure wear street shoes.
They all creak. How come?

Probably more likely knowing Musiks history of ailments! He does seem to be cursed with hypersensitivity / hyperawareness to what seems to be many, many things. Hoping he has a good sense of humor * about it all. *humour (translated from American English)

So noone knows?
I have had several complaints at work about it, so I have to do something about the sound. I've tested 4 different shoes now and the result is the same. And it doesn't matter what surface I walk on, indoors, outdoors ...
I read it could be numerous reasons, but air between layers seems to play a big part or an inner sole gliding a bit.
I thought it was the outer sole, they seem to be very dry here. That's a more rare reason, but could exist.
Buying different type of oil and glue is the next step.
Within a week new shoes make a creaking sound.

Within a week new shoes make a creaking sound. If your shoes creak and the another guy's doesn't then ask him what shoes be wears and get a pair. Alternatively find a work colleague who has the same size feet as you but no creaking shoes and borrow them. In both cases if when wearing the alternative shoes (same as the other guy) your shoes still creak and his still don't then its you that's creaking - not the shoes.

I'm intrigued by how you've had several work complaints about this, are these people covert superheroes with spidey-sense like hearing?! My own shoe work story was when I first joined public sector and was ripped to piss for having the temerity to have polished shoes - a real no-no for that particular team lol
I know talc has been suggested , I'll throw in using some decent shoe trees to keep them stretched and in shape

Saddle soap or, in my day dubbin.
I know it’s not the done thing anymore but…real shoe polish. Apply..rough brush, work in, light brush to polish. Possible soft rag for a big finish.

Are you using any polish, wax or chemicals to clean the floors at home? That can leave a coating on the bottom of the shoe, making them a bit squeaky.

Do you use inserts (plantar fasciitis or other foot issues...flat feet, pigeon toed, etc.)? How tight are you lacing up your shoes/boots? Does this happen with slip on shoes as well or only laced shoes? If not, try loosening your shoes or re-lacing them in a different manner/pattern. I'd say Seymour Beaver's empirical method has merit. However, if a co-worker or friend were to come to me...oh I don't know...let's say in a laundry room with a story like yours and wanted to wear my shoes, I'd probably give them a strange look and decline outright and continue sorting my hot and cold items.

I’d also take great interest on the 3 random items left on the worktop. A cloth, some kitchen spray and a pair of champagne coloured under garments👀

I’ve got one foot like a vulture, my mates call it the talon! When I was young my mum took me to the doctors and he said (bearing in mind this was the late 80’s) “your foot looks like the kind of foot a spastic would have” Charming🤣

It might, as well as sticking two pencils up his nostrils and putting some underpants on his head. That’s worked in the past, no reason why it wouldn’t work now….

I'm intrigued by how you've had several work complaints about this, are these people covert superheroes with spidey-sense like hearing?! Eehh ... I haven't measured it, but I would say it's in the 40-60 dB range, every step I take. Outdoors, dogs bark at me and people on the other pavement turn their heads. So in a completely quiet big office with 50-100 pc people you can easily hear my steps. I will comment on the given advices later. Thanks.
