Top Gun the biggest film at the box office, Kate Bush top of the charts, and mid-table Mick about to lead Stoke to the dizzy heights of about 13th. Takes you back doesn't it?

Impossible to say at the moment - let’s see what the squad looks like come the end of august.

This is difficult to predict because our squad is so thin. If our best players all stay fit all season, which is very unlikely, we could win the league. We were way better than Forest and would have finished in the top two or three if all our top players were available. But only took the loss of Powell and Souttar to turn us from a top two team into a very average mid-table team because their replacements

Shit or bust for O'Neill so let's hope we get the 19/20 version. He has to set up more positively especially at home otherwise he's a goner.
Early days but signings looking positive with the emphasis on pace & power.
I'm going for 6th. I really don't think there is anyone to fear.

10th with 65. Another season of steady progress. To have "another" season of steady progress, don't we first have to progress? 🤔

This is difficult to predict because our squad is so thin and very vulnerable to injuries to a few key players, notably Brown, Baker, Souttar and Powell. Campbell was disappointing and ironically we were worse after January when he was available than we were before (not that that was not the reason for the slump, but he didn’t contribute much when he returned). Powell playing behind Brown and Campbell is as good as it gets in this league. Hopefully he’ll be back to full fitness next month and stays that way. Campbell didn’t impress when he first broke into the team so hopefully he will also be back to full fitness after the summer break. If our best players stay fit all season, which is very unlikely, we could make the payoffs. We were way better than Forest and would have competed for promotion if we had had a settled line-up and a consistent formation. The margin between mid-table and the top two is very thin.
edit: in summary too many ifs.

Mid to lower table mediocrity. Plenty seem content with that.

Mid to lower table mediocrity. Plenty seem content with that. If your expectations are low that’s what you’ll get and you’ll never be disappointed. Hopefully that is not the ambition of the owners, management and the players.

Heart says 1st the same as every year. Head says between 5th and 10th and I'd be delighted with playoffs but until the windows over and we know what cards we have to play it is hard to really say.

Impossible to say at the moment - let’s see what the squad looks like come the end of august. This. Too many pay too much attention to the tails of woe that come out of the managers mouth. Boy has called wolf too often already for me to take much notice.

We'd just missed out on the play offs and we were getting good players in Sumner before makes more sense Hendry did’nt stay and we were in such good shape TP had to resort to signing a 3rd string Man Utd Centre Half that no one had heard of, and who went straight into the side? I don’t think we were anywhere near as strong as you remember.

Sixth. And then a 4-1 win in the semifinal of the playoffs. (Goals by Souttar, Brown twice, Clarke) And a 1-0 win at Wembley. (a souttar header) Hallelujah
