Does anyone know what happens when a played is out of contract (Allen) yet needs to train?
In his case, would he continue training with the club as while he hasn't been retained discussions are ongoing over a new deal and he may well end up part of the squad. Or is he currently not a Stoke player and as such expected to find his own ways to train?
Boring question but don't think he was in the training pics earlier this week, so wondered.

They'll train with whoever they want/will let them.

I think some of it is managed by their agent. Some will go back to an old club and train with them, or a local one, some will workout at home. The main thing is most will post the living hell out of it to get the publicity. Joe isn't built that way and I'm guessing that means he's happy with the offers on the table or comfortable to wait.
In this instance he's probably working with a personal trainer.

I don’t think he’s out of contract until the end of the month so technically still our player. But he’s been given extended leave because of all the internationals (as have Bursik and Brown) but he’s also injured so wouldn’t be training with the group anyway. It’ll be a reasonable indication of where he’s going to end up who he trains with when he comes back after June 30th.
