The problem is both a rainbow flag and someone kneeling have nothing to do with football Ok, so no minute silence when the queen dies, no minute silence at remembrance. I'll remember that. Didn't realise football was above all of that. No one stopping you from wearing rainbow braces to a game if you feel so strong about it . Not sure how a national day off mourning compares to rainbow laces etc

England should have two strips, a home kit consisting of a White top, red shorts and white socks and an away kit of Red Shirt, white shorts and red socks. The only blue that should be anywhere near an England strip is the 3 lions on the badge.

One you're struggling to comprehend it seems. I was very against a game being cancelled was going to when Diana died. National days of morning like the longest ruling monarch in the World dying and a minute silence EVERYWHERE are in no way comparable to having a rainbow on your strip.....maybe it means more to you, your lifestyle choice but if you think it belongs on a football shirt then I suggest you sew your own on

Vile. As someone pointed out, looks like a training kit. Wish we'd fuck Nike off and go for Adidas There is a school of thought that you can’t really do much creative with a white kit but that’s bollocks, subtle details can make the plainest of shirts look good. Finland had a mint one a few years ago, funnily enough by Nike I think. White with the blue cross like their flag. Something similar for England would be better than the usual bland guff we get

Didn't realise football was above all of that. But they are once in a lifetime or once a year, not every week ad infinitum. I think most or all people are now aware of the meaning of the rainbow band and taking the knee. If they were stopped it doesnt mean there is less respect, just there are maybe other issues available for discussion. If we did them all we'd never get round to actually kicking off.

It is you that doesn't comprehend, people make choices and if footballers wish to take the knee, or if people wish to wear the rainbow then they have to the right to do that. You have the right to to look away. Guys and minority races have been oppressed for centuries and have said enough is enough. Your Diana story is pathetic.

The only blue that should be anywhere near an England strip is the 3 lions on the badge. And they should all be heavy cotton with long sleeves. Brylcreem should be mandatory and we should wear hobnail boots. The crowd should all smoke and wear trilbys. Fact.

But who is it hurting? Why does it matter? If it doesn't matter why do it? What's it achieving? Let's see what happens in Qatar. It's a disgrace they have been given a World Cup and anything we can do to make a point is worth doing in my opinion, especially if it pisses off Fifa at the same time.

Note to posters - please, please don't criticise the saintly BLM or our rainbow overlords on here or you'll have the Peelers around yours sharpish, and no mistake, guvnor. Thought crime has now joined with football fandom as an easy nick for the old bill. Must go, the doorbell is ringing.;-)

You have the right to look away 😃. Run the pathetic comment by us again But it is not pathetic is it. If you don't like it, move. It is you making some sort of deal out if it. There's a guy in block 12 forever moaning about the knee, he goes on so much he has made a laughing stock of himself. There's loads I don't agree with, but if I can't change it, I move on.

How will it help somebody though? It is about awareness. Sometimes less is more. Have a Kick It Out weekend once a year instead, like they do with Rainbow Laces and Remembrance. Get kids and schools involved, try and inspire local black and Asian kids to go to games (I think Leicester and Bradford do a lot with their Asian communities). It'll have far more impact than something that's just done out of habit now. Also, regardless of the revisionism that's taken place, a lot of people associate taking the knee with BLM and the dog whistle politics of Sasha Johnson and her mates as it was just after the George Floyd incident that it became a thing. It's no different than some people of a left wing persuasion associating the Union Jack/St George's cross with racists really, despite our black and Asian sportspeople often waving them with pride.

I wouldn't argue against what you say, I would love to see such recognition. My argument is that people who show that they disagree with unfairness and argue for a equality have every right to do so. If players want to take the knee, if clubs want to show their support for minorities then they should do. It's a few seconds at the start of a game and maybe rainbow flags for a match. I wonder what some people's agendas are if such small things upset them so much.
