Stadium π out of town is OK as long as reliable transport is provided. There's 'out-of-town' & then there's the Gillette Stadium. It's not on the ourskirts of Boston, it's in a place called Foxborough. It'd be like Stoke's ground being 'out-of-town' by having it in Burton-on-Trent.

Not surprising Cincy didn't get in but Nashville should. Absolute bullshit that Atlanta was considered "Central" so they could give more to the east coast cities. Closest drive for me now is Atlanta. I might venture down there. Tons of hotels and good MARTA system. Plus the stadium is a walk from downtown. And 'Boston' getting in is absolute horse shit too. I went to Gillette stadium once. In the middle of nowhere. Stadium π out of town is OK as long as reliable transport is provided. This is America. There is no reliable public transport... just $150 parking fees!

In 94 there were coaches leaving Manhattan for the Ireland v Italy game every 25 seconds. We got a taxi stop and asked us if we wanted to split the fare. I think were a few too many in it and the poor Cameroonian driver just wanted rid of us. Were 2 lads lying on the floor.
