Wenger wants kicking in. Seems like Rory still haunts him

Even if he was right I’d still disagree with him on principle. On the principle that he’s a twat.

Wenger's a twat, that's a given!!

Try it. If it's better then keep it. If it's not then drop it.
It would save waiting 5 mins for a towel to be used. And, yes, I know we were the worst culprits ever.

He wants any change, as long as it's a change. Just to justify his position.

Doesn't seem very well thought out (surprise surprise) Instead of a few teams hurling long throws into the penalty area, every team would be able to do the same from even further out. What will waste most time. 4 or 5 long throws a game where teams wait until the big lumps have lumbered forward or 10 or 12 "kick-ins" where the teams wait until the big lumps have lumbered forward?

They come up with some daft rules to change a game that doesn’t need much changing to it. Pricks

My feeling is that kick ins would be ridiculous (imagine Sean dyche's teams!) But the 5 second thing!👍

The FA originally removed the kick-in option from the rules back in 1863. Now, coincidentally, what else happened in 1863 - no answers allowed from Forest fans …….

Surely that would cause any throw in to be a dead ball situation and a cross into the box, then throw ins that can go either way will be more important decisions then refs will get more abuse, cheers arse

Wonder if you could be offside from a kick in? Gouranga. He wouldn’t see it, well depending on who his side is

Wonder if you could be offside from a kick in? Gouranga. Excellent point Would be interesting if there wasn’t offside , in fact why not do away with the offside rule altogether

If he wants to introduce something for the good of football and the fans then he should champion a wage cap.

In all seriousness there’s a problem with throw ins in the modern game ..as the side who should have an advantage ( ie the one taking the throw ) is at a disadvantage because they actually have less men on the pitch at the time of the throw meaning invariably shorter throws unless you have excellent players who can control a ball with one touch cause you problems , modern coaching means poorer quality teams get closed down and invariably lose possession and / or take an earth to take them as their options are quickly marked
Simple rule change required , around the yardage the defending team can encroach on the thrower ..or controversially to help speed up the throws another suggestion you should be able to bowl the throw one handed under arm ( not over arm )
Either way throws to remain .. and Wenger told to get off his hobby horse , to grow up and accept losing and seek counselling for the psychological non compensatory damage and sleepless nights we caused him ..
Just rememeber every time you see a throw-in , long or short on tv ..Wenger is also likely watching the game somewhere , shaking uncontrollably ..gives you a nice warm feeling

Seems you’ve not looked at the proposal. Has to be taken within 5 seconds. Personally be it a throw in or a kick in I’d be all for a very short time limit to take it. Possibly as suggested by another poster with an encroachment rule to give the taking side an advantage. Really boils my piss how long they take. We’re terrible at it we take an age and aren’t even trying to set anything up. Also need to tighten up on keepers with ball in hands and taking goal kicks get the game moving at a pace.

They need to tackle the scourge of 'game management aka time wasting. It truly damages the spectacle of the game.
