Dear All, I am conducting some research on fans’ views regarding the place of politics in sports in contemporary society and I would really appreciate a few minutes of your time to complete an anonymous survey that is available via this link: doit.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6RUhPUDl3gMHoR8 I hope you agree it is a topical study and I thank you for your time.

The Scotland game vs Ukraine must be a veritable gold mine mate. Souness wanted Ukraine to qualify automatically because this shit is on our doorstep but doesn't hold views on more brown shades such as Yemen getting the same. Scotland fans were encouraged to sing their anthem, the first 30 minutes of coverage was all Ukraine including a Sky News segment, Ukraine players allowed to wear their flag coming out and the player was on a booking who celebrated in the crowd but no ref would be daft enough send him off. I had no issue with the later two but defo examples of politics mixing in sport. I'd also say the players and crowd were defeated mentally as it took until being 2 down to actually kick them - until then we gave them a free ride. Compared to the Wales game we've probably taken a massive element of the heat and more normalised the next game as just being a match of football Done it BTW- some good questions in there and would be really interesting to read about your findings

Said I’d already completed the survey or it had expired. Hopefully it worked.

"You have either already completed the survey or your session has expired" - it might be worth extending the survey time-out settings otherwise you could be missing out on feedback (as others have said, the questions are thought provoking so people may take a bit longer with their answers)

Very thought provoking. The question regarding the taking over of your club by a seemingly dubious ownership does beggar the question of the morality of having a global betting company as owners.
