Wow.
That’s shocking news.
“As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster.”

RIP. Great actor, in one of my favourite films, Goodfellas. Same here. Goodfellas is my favourite film of all time He looked nothing like the real Henry Hill but then again Robert de Niro had no resemblence to Ace Rothstein in Casino either. Can't let a Ray Liotta thread pass without this. RIP

Iconic. Probably in a minority here but the Scorsese triumvirate of Goodfellas, Casino and Taxi Driver eclipses The Godfather for me

AN under-used actor, he is one of the many reasons why Goodfellas is in a class of its own. If he had never made another film, he would still be a legend. RIP

proper cinema. the timing, the lighting, the script, the actor adding their own personality to it ... utterly wonderful film making.

He was probably the best thing to come out of "The Many Saints of Newark", essential viewing for any Die-hard Sopranos fan, but left me slightly under-whelmed. Without giving away the plot, he does a Ray Liotta laugh, which was the highlight of the movie for me
He also does the trademark RLL in this video, which again is 'made good' by his contribution

My favourite scene.
All done in one take at the nightclub.
I believe the real Henry Hill is in it somewhere in a cameo.
Now that's how you enter a club with your girl!
RIP Ray

During filming Goodfellas Ray's mum died of cancer, and he took some of his anger out in scenes like this
