RIP the 56 very tragic day for English football we played Chelsea at home 11.30 ko,sure i was back in longton snooker club when i heard the news I was only 8 but have a definite memory of being in Hanley after the Chelsea game when I found out, we were picking my mum up who worked in Boots and I remember seeing it unfold on the TV's in the shop opposite. Unless my memory is playing tricks on me. RIP to all involved as always on this sad anniversary x

A truly horrific event. I can still picture the images of fans on fire trying to get out of the stand.

I watched the Bradford fire incident on the News. My Dad was watching it with me, he just sat there shaking his head saying " i have lived though a World War and was a POW but those images on TV that day where some of the worst things he had seen. RIP to all of those that died at Bradford City.

If there is such a thing as a silver lining to disasters then this and Hillsborough helped massively to improve Stadium safety. RIP to those who perished on this awful day.

People only remember and commemorate the 56 people who died that day, but the actual human toll was far worse. Burns are among the most painful, debilitating, disfiguring, and traumatic injuries anyone can experience.
