20 years ago today since we beat Brentford at the Millstad to get promoted.
After the epic semi final it was a bit of an anti climax. But it did just fine. π

Never been so relaxed for a big game Good job the players weren't Gudjon has the injury crisis from hell second half of that season, we were top on New Year's day and would have stayed there with a normal run of injuries After his failure the previous season he did a great job that season So we sacked him! There's a what if How would Gudjon done had they kept him? In the nanosecond between promotion and his dismissal he publicly states we needed an influx of new players

Think we ended up going up inspite of Gudjon rather than because of him
Still, having got us up, he deserved a crack in the Championship

Even I, the ultimate pessimist, was completely relaxed for the game. It was never in doubt.

I was all for sacking him after the Vale game but thankfully they stuck with him and he delivered (just)

We took 35k? Them about 10-12 maybe.
Without checking can you name the future Stokie in the Brentford lineup that day

We took 35k? Them about 10-12 maybe. Without checking can you name the future Stokie in the Brentford lineup that day Attendance was 42,523. Iβm quite sure we took close to 35,000 so Brentford 7500ish. If my memory serves me well we were given extra tickets (5000ish) because of Brentfordβs small following.
