In light of Mark Hughes stating that he had to write his own objectives when at the club, what realistic objectives would you set for 22/23, is this something the fans forum could take forward at their next meeting.
To set criteria:
MON is staying The Coates are staying We must remain in FFP
So what objectives would you set that can be measured over the course of a season ?
My objectives
Introduce a fanzone capable of hosting 1000 fans, with local produce, beers and must show the early kick off
Reduce waiting times at concessions within the concourse at half-time to no more than 7 mins.
Fans forum to meet monthly with the COO to discuss continuous improvement
Draw up plans for safe standing for introduction in 23/24
Draw up plans to move the away fans for introduction in 23/24
Reduce post match car park wait times to no more than 20 minutes
Reduce the number of loan signings to no more than 4 per year
There must be hundreds we can suggest ……

I don’t get the obsession with moving the away fans. It has no bearing on results (there was a brief time when teams feared coming here, it wasn’t considered a problem then).

Extend the stadium concourses
Sort the toilets out (not just the John Smith's ones)
Give the exterior of the ground a makeover as it looks so drab and run down
Set managerial targets to push forward (minimum pay offs)
Sort the wait time in concourse (bottoms up beers will drastically reduce this)

Also with the restoration of the Stoke to Leek line all us Leek stokies can get to the ground without touching a car… wouldn’t cost much to do it

Have the subway behind the Boothen, the bridge over the train line, and the majority of the home end concourses filled with Stoke related paintings. (The 72 lads lifting the cup, Sir Stan running down the wing, Steino smashing one passed The Shit, Tone screaming "Goarn Jon", Hughsie tossing his coat in the air after being sent off at 'Castle, Ryan & Huth grabbing that Wolves tart by the throat etc...)
Boothen & South Stands turned into standing areas.

Win 75% of your home games. Win at least 10 games by 3 clear goals. Entertain your home crowd, never play like a draw at home wouldn’t be the end of the world.

A minor objective, but redesign the badge/crest. I’m surprised the supporters council hasn’t raised this before - or have they?

Due to the exorbitant cost of fuel would the club give long distance fans some notice of home games they intend on winning ?

I think we all need to remember the supporters council raises everything we ever tell them.
Everything.
But my god they CAN NOT discuss what happens at the meeting. What happens at the meeting stays at the meeting.
Unless its in the minutes, then that's fine.
But if it's not in the minutes they CAN NOT say anything. At all. Ever.
Totally secret.
But don't think it doesn't get raised. It does. But they CAN NOT talk about it.
Poor food...... Shhhhhhh.....it was discussed. Or was it. It's not in the minutes. Then no more shall be said about it.
It's like a trade union other than being absolutely nothing like that.
Shhhhhhhhhhhhh for god's sake

top 8, actual progress not just 2 pts, and some watchable football. Why top 8 not top 6? I think its a pretty sizable job given the poor squad build we've seen so far and with so many going, so I think top 8 would mean we'd have at least given the top 6 a go and maybe fallen short, I would be fine with that given recent seasons. Maybe I'd be giving MON too much leeway with that mind, given his failure in the last 2 season.

Due to the exorbitant cost of fuel would the club give long distance fans some notice of home games they intend on winning ? This would be good. Say on a Thursday.. “important news ahead of this weekends 3-0 win vs Bristol City”. Fans can then decide whether to turn up or not.

I do get the thing about the away fans i have not been to every ground in the country but maybe over 50% & i cannot think of any other ground i been to were the away fans are right next to were the teams enter the pitch. I do think on some games it does give the away team a boost mainly when they sell out there allocation it can't be that hard to move them across to the far corner of the south stand.

You honestly think that having their own fans slightly closer to them when they exit the tunnel will have a notable effect on their performance over 90 minutes?

If it’s a win I’m on my way, a draw. Possibly and a defeat I’m turning around.

Good idea in principle though. I still think its possible. Wedgewood and barlaston stations are just a mile down the same line and are only open when they need to be. Wouldn’t cost much at all to build two platforms and a footpath up to the ground just for match days and events

On the pitch:- Top 10 Finish - Better attacking play - More physicality in midfield and upfront - A mixture of signings experienced, young, loans, peak Off the pitch short term:- The experiment of a fan zone. Some benches. Food/Beer stall. LED Screen. On this piece of land here. - Actually consult with fans on what they want in Delilah's? - Meet the manager/Chairman/COO and dare I say meet the players evenings? (These could even be online events?) - We desperately need to start building bridges between fans and the club again to refill the well of good will that has been drained almost to empty over recent years. I still don't understand why the club haven't been going all out to do and be better as it will show come ST renewal time. - Announce pre-season early, and again wouldn't it be great to turn this into an event fans could play a part in? (Fan travel/flights/coaches/hotels, evening talks with former players etc) - Get the 1972 banner actually put up in the south corner and look at options for the back of the other corner too? (Consultation with SC as to what it could be) - Off season tours of Clayton Wood - Improvements to the pre match playlist and a few 'build up' videos wouldn't go a miss - More variety in team coverage (Physios/S&C, match analysis, scouting team, media dept, recruitment) - Clean the outside of the ground - Continuing to look at traffic improvements - Permanent lighting for the Gordon Banks statue - Improve the PA system Off the pitch long term:- Look at best practice from as many other clubs as possible and copy them! - Look at improvements to the Fan Zone assuming its success (Local suppliers/undercover areas/lighting/events/mobile shop) - Full size indoor pitch at the training ground - Turning Trentham Jct Bridge dual carriageway for exit on matchdays - Consideration of a train station at the ground and investigate possible park and ride - Use, engage with, build up our overseas fans. Offer them a remote seat at the SC? Again look at ticketed online events? - Raise the bar in everything: mobile app, concourse food/drink, academy coverage - Look at a permanent "Community Stadium" for U23/U18s/WFC use (possibly Northwood Stadium? Lyme Valley? or near CW?) - Stokification of the Bet365, I'm not expecting Archibald Leitch, but adding some character to the ground really wouldn't go a miss (Gates/Walls/Memorials/Badges/Statues etc) It would be great to see the Sir Stan Statue take centre stage with this and get moved to right outside the main stand. Stoke paintings and grafitti on the wall by the family stand/the tunnel and elsewhere. - Concourse improvements/widening. More screens. Stewardless turnstiles - Option of QR code season tickets - Look at building some small business units near the ground (Greggs/Starbucks) akin to Derby - Consider moving fans to new corner and giving home fans access to behind both goals - Better path access/road widening on initial corner into ground - Windbreaker added to behind scoreboard corner and upwards expansion of the tunnel building for community/business use. - Those fancy flashing floodlights!

I was thinking about the same location for a fan zone. A huge wooden Pergola on there so you can put a cover on for the winter and provides a bit of shade in the summer. Use converted shipping containers into bars and places selling local food, some big screens and outdoor heating for the winter.. jobs a gooden. And yes we definitely need to look into a train station at the ground
