Only what I’ve heard. Not going to glue my balls to the line though as it could be wrong but he might be off. if he goes he goes ,get Gavin Bazunu off Man City on loan I agree mate if he’s off he’s off, it is what it is. Time will tell and there’ll always be others who come and go

Nothing much between Bursik and Bonham. Virtually every premier league team will have two goalies better than ours. If you add those to players they have out on loan plus all the top goalies in Europe and South America, and I doubt either of ours are in the top 100. It’s about the best you hope for in this league and we can expect them to make mistakes.

My dead Gran saves that goal. and you biged him up ,comon granny Yeah we shouldn’t have dropped him in the first place. The chopping and changing of keepers has been up there with some of the worst management at this club we’ve seen in the last 6 years.

He just a dreadful goalkeeper. Piss poor for the goal and got under two crosses that nearly cost us. It's great to have different opinions but how anyone can rate him is beyond me.

Bursik clearly should be nowhere near the 11 and putting him in it is terrible management.

So many moan when managers don't do that

Clearly not good enough yet.
It's worrying that his shot stopping is so poor as that's really the bread and butter for any goalkeeper. stuff like distribution, decision making, dealing with crosses and high balls are the sorts of things young keepers tend to get better at with age, but stopping shots is such a fundamental skill that you can't afford to play anyone who is so poor at it.
We have to sign an experienced goalkeeper, keep Bonham as back-up and get Bursik out on loan for at least a season. League Two might be about his level at the moment.

I was so certain that Bursik was the better option earlier in the season, but I honestly think I was wrong. Of the two I now certainly prefer Bonham. Bursik looks so uncomfortable with balls coming into the box, and also for their goal today I really think he should have had his near post covered.

Not a good shot stopper, not good at crosses, we have been a club who have had great keepers over the years, we need to find another. We absolutely do. Needs to be a top priority over the summer.

He’s toss overrated massively on here He's not toss but not good enough, at this moment anyway . I agree re sending him on loan . 6th or 7th goal now can recall him not getting down and being beaten low inside his post way too easily.

No you’re right Bayern he shouldn’t have been dropped in the first place as he shouldn’t have been playing in order to be dropped. Totally embarrassing today he’s utter crap and from what I heard he only got back in the team to stop his embarrassing mum from moaning to John Coates.....He was awful today wondering around totally clueless how to deal with crosses. Joking apart he’s exactly what’s wrong with this team/club we can’t see the utter shit in front of us or simply accept it.

Short answer is if we want to mount any kind of promotion or play off push then none of our current keepers should be our no.1
There's only been one game (Davies against QPR away) where our keeper has kept us in the game.
If a shot has a 51% chance of going in, it goes in against us. Our keepers don't produce good saves.
We've dropped well over 30 points from winning positions and a part of this is down to our keepers not been able to help keep us in games.

I think I got spoiled by when Jack was in his prime, keeping us in games with instinctive, reflex-type saves. etc. Never could save a penalty, distribution questionable, but his general play (When in his prime) when an enemy attacker approached our goal shows the gap between a PL keeper and most in this league. Spot on with it being a part of why we couldn't stay in games this year. The defense letting them through is a whole other post.

Not good enough yet, needs a full season in league one. I still think we got rid of the wrong keeper in Jan. Davies should have been our number 1 this season.

Well Trouserdog, I don’t know where you were sitting but I saw very clearly the save to his left on the floor which came through a number of players! A first class save. Yes you and others have a contrary view and I respect that. But having seen those first class saves I think I agree with the assistant manager. best wishes

The talk/rumours of him going.....where? It wouldn’t shock me if it was a half decent Premier League club. He could become a decent goalkeeper. Someone seems to rate him for whatever reason. That club could also loan him out to league 1 and not face any kind of blowback from their fans. Couldn’t imagine he’d go for more than a few million, and that would be based upon him being in the England U21 squad rather than anything he’s done here.

He will improve and for men edges it above Bonham.
However- we should never have sold Davies. He was better than both by some distance.
Goalkeeper had been a position that has undoubtedly cost us.
We need an experienced head to mount a challenge.
I’d go for Begovic if we could afford / was interested. He’s looked ok when played for Everton this season and still has local ties- plus was promoting his gloves at the club recently.
On a sensible wage he’d also be a positive influence in the dressing room.
