I thought his comments about O'Neill having the operation were quite petty and poor wouldn't be surprised if they get him disappeared.

What with him and Centre Cirtle on commentary it's enough to make your ears bleed. Don't forget the centre cirtle has a "lip" and there is an "-inside left channel" somewhere or other. I noticed on the commentary that when Jagielka made a pass to his right-side Nigel announced he'd passed to his left. Poor as usual, but as long as he's tolerated by Radio Stoke, he'll keep taking their money.

He called MoN out on the radio before the game for not being there today and having is long overdue hip replacement before the end of the season. He said it reflected badly on the owners and they must have approved it and shows they are happy for mediocrity.
He talks absolute garbage and this just highlights the poor standard of co-commentor that the Radio Stoke now have on and the overall rubbish football coverage.

“Wrong decision by Maja there, he just needed to do a maradona spin followed by a rainbow flick and then volley it into the top corner from 50 yards. Needs to be much more clinical.” Followed by “it’s as simple as that” He’s certainly a glass half empty kind of guy. My favourite quote today was hearing about “the corridor of chaos” or something to that effect for every QPR free kick lol. The Corridor of Chaos ? I think I saw them one Saturday on the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury,

I watched the game at home today as I've got Covid, but that's the first time I've listened to a whole game with Pej's summarising. It was painful to listen to.
He's so negative, and everyone made the wrong decision when they didn't do what he thought they should've done. How about giving the lads some credit for their efforts eh?
He comes out with some shit phrases as well: "Support play" "Front service"

I thought he was OK today actually. As for Nigel- Conspiracy theory 489000. (they're quite popular nowadays I understand?) The entire Forrester thread saga could have been saved if we acknowledge that no-one wanted to further embarrass Nigel.

You'd think he never conceded a goal as a player listening to him. Utter bollox of a summariser. Lawrence was pretty good. Don't mind people calling out managers on the odd thing if achieved something in the game as one themselves.

Truth hurts sometimes, remember he has been there done that and has more than the tee shirt. Most of his gripes are about attitude commitment and basics. They don't change. Totally agree, he expects 100% from every player and to be proud to wear the red and white stripes. He certainly gave it 100% when he played and as he’s been, there done that and got the t-shirt, he’s earned the right to voice his opinions. Like a lot of ex players he’s a Stokie thru and thru and passionate about the club, he expects those on the pitch to be as committed and passionate as he was when he played.

i must admit,i am a big fan of mike pejic due to him being a lad from ches and making it through the ranks to being a legend at stoke.yes a legend in my time but an unknown to most of the posters on here who never saw him play.now heres the rub, todays commentary from pej was ,as others have noted , very dour and negative.i am of the same age group and sometimes i think he is spot on but today was the time for him to pack it in as a pundit.sorry pej.

What was he being negative about out of interest?
Today wasn’t great but it was a lot better than most home games this season.

He is awful and the most depressing person to listen to: Alan Hudson has often said Pejic was less than welcoming to him when he arrived at the club, shows what a good judge of a footballer he was A good judge of character, perhaps? Hudson didn't have much at the time, did he.

So what was he moaning about? There wasn’t much to moan about so I’m intrigued. The biggest moan being that I dressed for the cold windy weather outside and inside the ground it was calm and warm.

He comes across to me as a little gormless as well as constantly criticising our players and management. And why does Johnson bang on about legend this and legend that, its all so boring and no-one gives a crap.

It has been really wank on the whole.

You say wank I say frustrating, but we both are saying its not been good enough.

It’s a criticism it’s generally in a bad tone and negative, especially when it’s been going on for so damn long. Yesterday was a lot better so it would have been harsh for stuff in the game itself hence why I’m intrigued to see what he picked up on. I do see what you mean but I think it’s been wank. It’s been a massive underachievement. Last season was the same and that frustrated me. 2 seasons of the same crap in a row? That’s wank. And why it’s a no brainer to make a change imo.

Agree with most of the comments. Very hard to listen to, and the same old commentary about formations again and again.
They should have a rotating co-commentator with no repeats through the season. That'd be interesting. Robert Huth first please.

Every time he is on. Nige, Stoke city legend, 72 League Cup winner, England International, ex Everton & Villa. We know Nige, you tell us often enough. Someone needs to have a word with him, why does he tell us every week. Everyone has some feedback in there job, please somebody tell him not to say it anymore

Everyone has some feedback in there job, please somebody tell him not to say it anymore Just because you listen every week doesn’t mean there isn’t a first time listener who find such information useful? It’s a basic introduction that is done on most commentaries isn’t it? There’s plenty to have a go at them for but that just seems like a basic thing that should be done?

A good judge of character, perhaps? Hudson didn't have much at the time, did he. İ think Hudson said when he arrived at the club from Chelsea, Pejic gave him the cold shoulder in training and was less than welcoming, strange that Hudson's arrival resulted in us almost winning the league These are tough times supporting Stoke and Pejic doesn't make it any easier he was a wonderful player on the pitch. Still you'd have to say that his character off the pitch let him down at times. He should have been a superstar, played 100 games for his country. Instead he played 2 and won few honours. As for Pejic, he has stayed a Stoke diehard as has Hudson. When he criticises the team - and you'd have to say there's a fair bit worth criticising - it's because he loves the club and can't stand to watch the rubbish that's often on the pitch.
