Will SCFC be able to claim to be the best team in the Potteries? With Coates senior approaching senility at a rapid rate of knots, his daughter disinterested, his idiot son calling the shots and an incompetent manager, who is competing with his team to be the most demoralized and Vale on the up with forward-thinking owner and manager, perhaps not that much longer. A poor start to next season under MON and his crew, and an eager rival in Burslem, there may be surprises in store. Aside from anything else, Vale can claim to be much more “Stoke” than us - with that eyesore of a pile next to the incinerator. Just because it’s always been true, doesn’t mean it always will be.

What a load of bollocks, and disrespectful to members of the Coates family and massive Stoke fans who've done so much.

Worst case scenario is in May 2023 Vale are promoted to the Championship and Stoke relegated to Division 1.
So in 13 months time Vale could be looking down their noses at us.
It's not likely but clearly it is possible.

I'm sure this post felt like a good idea after the eighth pint 🤯 I wouldn't recommend drinking that much when out night fishing.

Stoke will always be Stoke. Both as a famous football club and as a famous City, known all over the world. Burslem on the other hand . . . . . Thanks to our Enoch, I think Bosley would be more widely recognized than Burslem.
