Cancelled Sky tv the other day, been with them for years but I can’t justify the insane cost anymore. Over £1000 a year after their price rises.
Sticking with the likes of Netflix and free view and saving something like £50 a month

Be lost without it Always had Sky Netflix Amazon TV etc but like the chap says, can understand folk reconsidering I pay about £70 a year but that gives me 2 extra connections in the same house/IP It's not perfect but I can put up with the odd problem when it's so much less with so much more available to watch.

A bit rural here so get the odd freeze when trying to watch reruns of Last Of The Summer Wine or other such hilarious shows, usually mid Compo japes but rare enough. Great for football and the Lithuanian version of Wheel of Fortune

Where I work there is a load of job uncertainty, so instead of waiting for the Sword of Damocles to chop off my knackers I have an interview tonight for a better paid job, better conditions, just better all round...Although not a given, I'm the only one being considered...

My partner is on minimum wage and has also started doing an extra 6 hours a week in work. So between the extra hours and minimum wage going up, we should have a decent pay rise.
Also found out my own wage is going up by 9% as well as some changes with long service awards sees me get an extra 3 days annual leave too now.
Not really had much in terms of pay rises between us since covid so with us both having a bit of an increase I'm pretty excited for next pay cheque. Between the two I'm hoping we will be a few hundred better off a month.

Sticking with the likes of Netflix and free view and saving something like £50 a month I did exactly the same.Sky wanted nearly £100 from the £46 a month I was paying. Got more or less the same package from Virgin for what's just gone up to nearly £40 a month on Virgin. If providers would drop their prices maybe there would't be so many people getting dodgy firesticks.

Just sort something with iptv. You'll probably get some shit service at some point, but it's worth the savings.
I've got all channels across the world, plus movies and series, for 110 euro per year.

I literally have every channel from every country which works well with the Mrs (German.. shaved). She gets all her shit and I get the darts tonight. Edit: in any case, l if you want to save money then sort out something with iptv or a fire stick.
