A good player for us on and off the pitch, yes the saving in wages would be handy (not his fault how much he is being paid) You just know where ever he goes he will do Well and I suspect he will be Missed. Underrated player for us. Best of luck where ever you go. I wouldn't be upset if he was here next season. Why off the pitch? He seems quiet and doesn’t seem to much more than anyone else community wise. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing either just that he seems a real quiet person who bar actually playing the games you wouldn’t really knew he played for us. provides free eggs for everyone

Mr Average but expensive has played his last game for us, I think we'd all do better forgetting it never happened and lock the thread.

Things seemed to go down hill the moment he signed, it maybe not be his fault, he may just be jinxed. 🤔

Keeps out of the news and trouble.

Joe doesnt do social media Good for him, neither do I. Quite why anyone famous would want to expose themselves to that nonsense is beyond me. They should have view only pages where people can't comment on there posts. And save the personal stuff for friends only.

Joe doesnt do social media He’s an idiot then, look at this: Cristiano Ronaldo has shot to the top of Instagram's annual rich list of celebrities who can charge the most for a sponsored post, with the footballer able to command as much as $1.6 million to endorse a product on social media. Think I’ll start posting, some gossip I’ve heard about Badge....

Kick him out. Plays ok or well most games, but i can tell he doesn’t give a crap about the club. He just wants his wages.

What has he ever done to show he cares so much?
I don't expect players to care, it doesn't bother me, it's a job for them.
But it clearly bothers a lot of fans and I just can't see why anyone would get the impression he gives a single shit?

That explains why it's still not certain Swansea can't afford him atm but can do once they sell the other player Stoke should put a deadline on it whilst pursuing a replacement anyway

Think I’ll start posting, some gossip I’ve heard about Badge.... Not sure if he had one Allen's social media account would attract as many followers as Ronaldo and I can't imagine him having any news he really wants to share with the world. He gives the impression of being a very private bloke who isn't interested in a glamorous life style and is quite happy (not surprisingly) with the money he earns.

But it clearly bothers a lot of fans and I just can't see why anyone would get the impression he gives a single shit? There have been several matches this season including last Saturday (MOM in my opinion) when he has seemed like the only Stoke player on the pitch who does care whether it be for the club or for his own self pride doesn't bother me. And I don't buy the explanation for that being that he was playing for another contract somewhere. On a free with his experience, career and reputation there will be no shortage of suitors. As you say whether he cares about the club doesn't really matter as long as he puts in the performances. He doesn't have particularly good technical ability, for that he can be criticised but in terms of putting in the tackles and effort he cannot be criticised. I certainly thought there was a nostalgic look around when he lead the team out at the beginning so I do think there is some fondness but that 's my own opinion.

That article in the Welsh newspaper is amazing.
They’re already imagining him “pulling the strings” as part of a promotion team. The fact he’s placed 58th in the list of minutes played in the Championship this season means “he can emphatically tick the box of being suited to the demands of the division”.
And finally: “His passing ability and awareness combined make him an ideal fit for the style Martin has implemented.”

Coming back from the horrendous achilles injury (the worst sort of injury for a footballer alledgedly) as he did to play virtually every game since proves he can cope with the physical demands of the division. So not all fantasy.

Oh but his passing ability makes him the perfect fit for Martin’s style. Presumably that’s the style they showed in being the only team we’ve genuinely battered home and away this season.

Hopefully it’ll be Swansea’s problem next season.

I can criticise his tackles, half of them are because of his crap touch To me he just seems to go through the motions. Which again I don't mind, it's not something I care about or value.

His awareness pre-Baker (off the ball at least) was his biggest weakness, the lack of positional discipline in midfield has been one of the single biggest problems in the side since he's been here.

You just know he's going to sign a new contract here.... I want him to, just to see the tsunami of pissy knickers on here. Why? He needs getting rid of. Him signing a new contract is not a good sign for any of us. We can't moan about going backwards/standing still and then be happy when we re-sign players who have been largely disappointing for us for over 5 years, as well as now being 32!

You just know he's going to sign a new contract here.... I want him to, just to see the tsunami of pissy knickers on here. How dare people not want us to resign a player the wrong side of 30 who has been a constant at the club during our 5-6 year decline that almost resulted in us being relegated to League 1. If wanting better for the club constitutes "pissy knickers" then consider mine absolutely soaked.
