It's the biggest scam in modern football.

Are people actually excited for this World Cup? It's the biggest scam in modern football. I'm in two minds about it. I love the World Cup and try to watch as much of it as I can. This one though has been stolen and I'm really struggling to see it as a genuine world cup.

If Ten Hag has a good start that would likely involve getting good form out of those two

So yeah, I do have a right to comment. I'm fucked off with it and should have never happened in the first place.

Should be a great tournament. Quite open. My money on The Netherlands to reach the final. Think gone under the radar a bit. Had a nice win on Italy at the Euros and France at previous WC, this one a bit harder to call. France, Netherlands, Portugal, Argentina all reasonable odds and all have a decent chance. Argentina be tough to beat again and Spain a bit of a hard to call shout . 2 or 3 others also in the mix.

Netherlands have the defence, pretty much everyone else is at best average at the back (France aside) Dutch have fuck all at the other end though and midfield isn't top end either Argentina? Very ordinary aren't they? Italy have failed to qualify! Spain not sure about them, Portugal have got good players

Incredibly they could go into this as dark horses 🐎

Undefeated in qualification, along with Argentina Argentina are apparently quite fancied - the best they've been in ages according to Tim Vickery, unbeaten since 2019. m.skybet.com/football/world-cup-2022/event/22514761Brazil 9/2 France 5/1 England 11/2 Spain 8/1 Argentina 9/1 Germany 11/1 Belgium 12/1 Netherlands 12/1 Portugal 12/1 Denmark 33/1 Croatia 50/1 Uruguay 50/1 Senegal 80/1 Switzerland 80/1 Mexico 100/1 Poland 100/1 Serbia 100/1 USA 100/1 Ecuador 150/1 Cameroon 200/1 Japan 200/1 South Korea 200/1 Tunisia 200/1 Ghana 250/1 Morocco 250/1 Canada 500/1 Iran 500/1 Qatar 500/1 Saudi Arabia 500/1

So yeah, I do have a right to comment. I'm fucked off with it and should have never happened in the first place. I'm with and against you there. You are spot on on the one hand. For me it's a morally bankrupt tournament but equally they all are where FIFA are concerned. Favours and backhanders have been proven to have been going on for years. It's the sheer loss of life in building the infastructure though that I can't get onside with.
We moan about Sports washing when the Saudi's come into Newcastle but paper over this one because it's a World Cup?
I'll probably watch it because I love football, and sods law it will be the tournament we actually bloody win - but it will be my least favourite tournament for sure.

Tim Vickery seems to think both Brazil and Argentina have got a real chance. Obviously Brazil always do - but Argentina look more pragmatic and potential-winnery than they have for ages according to him.
29 games unbeaten for Argentina. "Best Argentina side that Messi has been part of"

Argentina have better players for me than Brazil but not been great but still be a threat of sorts. Denmark could be a semi finalist
