Think there's a max of 2 Euro teams in each group, so nightmare group could be getting Germany, Senegal and..maybe Peru? Not too bad a group. Germany are ok , Peru nothing special and Senagal are decent enough but no potential semi finalists say in any of those 3. Would come out of that unbeaten I'd say

Foden and Bellingham I'd hope, I'd also bin Henderson from the squad Rice and Phillips are more than enough for the Ryan Woods role Henderson is a number 8, it’s not the same role. He gets a lot of shit but he’s made the most of his ability. Jordan Henderson Captain of Liverpool FC…..champions league winner and runner up, premier league winner, world club trophy winner, league cup winner the list goes on and all whilst getting selected and captaining one of the worlds biggest clubs with the array of talent available to Klopp He’s wank alright mate

Id go with a 433, something like Pickford Trent-Maguire-Stones-Chilwell -------Rice--------------- ---Bellingham--Mount-------- Saka----Kane---------Foden--
Southgate has options in abundance

Good prospect but not ready for me. Too soft centred that team for me . He has the players for sure to go a long way again

Still more likely to be Walker with Reece James a possibility. As a wing back Trent would still be battling with James too. And I can't see Sterling not starting either. His record is excellent and he offers more goal threat than Saka.

The World Cup could be when he comes into his own though. I think Southgate has seen the light with Sancho but Bellingham will be a regular for years to come, no doubt. Foden has really started to look the part as we knew he would as has Rice 😡

Amid the obvious appeal players have someone has to do the things nobody notices.

I think Maguire & Stones would get in a lot of the sides despite their issues Could be a high scoring tournament

Southgate is spoilt for choice in some areas of the pitch. I’d like to see Tomori play in the summer. I’m confident in all areas of the pitch apart from keeper and centre half.
As for the group…Mexico, Morocco and Saudi Arabia please.

Club form doesn't always make you a great international player , oddly. You can play for the best club in Europe but doesn't work like that. Steve Bruce was a huge part of Man U's success. Way too often players get picked on their club alone as we know which has been one of England's problems in the past. Players like Walcott were constantly picked despite real poor international performances. I think Mings plays well for England but seem to be in a minority. Sancho really poor at international level for me., Not been great at Man U either to be fair. Certainly got semi final potential but you never know at the WC. You need luck as well and to beat the best which England rarely do at tournaments but past is irrelevant. Backed France and Italy last 2 tournaments, going for the Dutch as a bit of a wild card this time out but 1 of 8 or 9 can win it.

Huge decisions win tournaments also and you need 1 or 2 . Will take a good side to pass the Dutchies I think as developing into a decent outfit again but far from the finished article.

However Arnold only has 16 caps in 4 years so feels a bit like he’s not been given a lot of opportunities. Or it’s probably that Southgate is a bit more reserved and finds the defensive qualities of the others as more important to how the team sets up.

Do lack a bit though as you say and can't rely on his goals.
