With the attacking options we do have I'd like to see Southgate be more ruthless with them with his squads.
If Saka has a bad period between squads but Hudson-Odoi plays well, he's in. We can afford to chop and change.
It will sharpen minds and performances too.
The only attacker I'd guarantee a spot to atm is Foden.

Interesting that Klopp has gone with Harvey Elliott in a big game tonight, ahead of Henderson Wonder if he could be a late contender for the England squad. Klopp obviously thinks he's the real deal. It'll be interesting to see who Southgate gives a chance to in the upcoming internationals next month and in the summer. Will Bowen make a charge? Interesting he's odds-on at the moment. Jacob Ramsey seems to be getting a lot of buzz, whereas the Conor Gallagher buzz seems to have dipped a bit People like Rashford and Sancho ,although he's picked up a bit, must be sweating on their places. Even Maguire is getting panned for his form, but obviously there's no way Southgate won't go with him. m.skybet.com/football/england-specials/event/27915508GKJordan Pickford 1/12 Aaron Ramsdale 1/10 Nick Pope 4/9Sam Johnstone 2/1 Jack Butland 5/1 Etienne Green 20/1 Alex McCarthy 25/1 Freddie Woodman 28/1 Fraser Forster 33/1 Josef Bursik 33/1 DEFHarry Maguire 1/20 John Stones 1/20 Ben Chilwell 1/16 Luke Shaw 1/12 Kyle Walker 1/8 Ben White 1/3 Trent Alexander-Arnold 1/3 Reece James 4/11Kieran Trippier 7/4 Tyrone Mings 15/8 Conor Coady 2/1 Fikayo Tomori 5/2 Eric Dier 7/2 Joe Gomez 7/2 Trevoh Chalobah 7/2 Tariq Lamptey 4/1 Ezri Konsa 5/1 Max Kilman 5/1 Ben Godfrey 6/1 James Justin 6/1 Marc Guehi 7/1 Michael Keane 8/1 Aaron Wan Bissaka 10/1 Adam Webster 10/1 Dan Burn 10/1 Valentino Livramento 10/1 Luke Thomas 12/1 Tyrick Mitchell 14/1 Aaron Cresswell 16/1 Japhet Tanganga 16/1 Lewis Dunk 16/1 Omar Richards 16/1 Phil Jones 16/1 Rob Holding 16/1 Ben Mee 20/1 Calum Chambers 20/1 Charlie Taylor 20/1 Dujon Sterling 20/1 Rico Henry 20/1 Ryan Sessegnon 20/1 Brandon Williams 25/1 Matt Targett 25/1 Ben Johnson 28/1 Charlie Cresswell 33/1 Djed Spence 33/1 Kyle Walker-Peters 33/1 Levi Colwill 33/1 Lloyd Kelly 33/1 Rob Dickie 33/1 Dael Fry 40/1 Luke Ayling 50/1 Declan Rice 1/20 Jude Bellingham 1/20 Mason Mount 1/20 Phil Foden 1/20 Jack Grealish 1/16 Bukayo Saka 1/10 Jordan Henderson 1/3 Kalvin Phillips 1/3Emile Smith-Rowe 1/1 Conor Gallagher 7/4 James Ward-Prowse 11/4 Jesse Lingard 11/4 Curtis Jones 4/1 Harvey Barnes 4/1 Harvey Elliott 4/1 James Maddison 4/1 Oliver Skipp 4/1 Eberechi Eze 9/2 Ruben Loftus-Cheek 5/1 Dele Alli 6/1 Jacob Ramsey 6/1 Jack Harrison 8/1 Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 10/1 Joe Willock 11/1 Harry Winks 12/1 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall 16/1 Dwight McNeil 20/1 Anthony Gordon 25/1 Noni Madueke 25/1 Ross Barkley 25/1 Michael Olise 28/1 Todd Cantwell 28/1 Adam Forshaw 33/1 Carney Chukwuemeka 33/1 Fabio Carvalho 33/1 Jamie Shackleton 33/1 Josh Dasilva 33/1 Andros Townsend 40/1 Faustino Anjorin 40/1 James Garner 40/1 Kaide Gordon 40/1 Raheem Sterling 1/20 Harry Kane 1/16 Marcus Rashford 1/10 Jadon Sancho 1/8 Dominic Calvert-Lewin 10/11 Jarrod Bowen 10/11Tammy Abraham 15/8 Ollie Watkins 9/4 Callum Hudson-Odoi 4/1 Patrick Bamford 4/1 Ivan Toney 5/1 Danny Ings 6/1 Callum Wilson 8/1 Demarai Gray 9/1 Ademola Lookman 10/1 Cole Palmer 16/1 Adam Armstrong 25/1 Jamie Vardy 25/1 Joe Gelhardt 25/1 Dane Scarlett 33/1 Eddie Nketiah 33/1 Liam Delap 33/1 Keane Lewis-Potter 66/1 Cameron Archer 80/1 I reckon all the Man Utd lads will be concerned currently (though I reckon Shaw is a shoe in due to no other reasonable replacement) I reckon only 1 of Reece James and Trent Alexander Arnold will go, Walker will go as a CB but will obviously act as RB back up option. I'm not sure Grealish if nailed currently, Southgate doesn't seem completely sold on him and his form this season has been iffy. Stones really needs to go find regular football as well I'd go for: GK: Pickford, Ramsdale, Pope. Def: Walker, Stones, Maguire, Shaw, Chilwell, Alexander-Arnold, White. Mid: Rice, Mount, Bellingham, Ward-Prowse, Foden, Grealish, Phillips, Henderson. For: Kane, Sterling, DCL, Bowen, Saka

Some of the names in that defender list are making my fucking eyes bleed! Same. Some big worries there. If players are picked on form Maguire and Shaw should be nowhere near the first 11. You’d also need to question Stones fitness and the 2 Chelsea wingbacks. He needs to look at the form players like Coady at Wolves.

Butland 5/1,thought he would be 25/1 or higher. Only takes a couple of injuries and he’ll probably be in.

I'd certainly take the gamble on taking Smith-Rowe.
Really good young player.

I was just looking at their team and the thought that always comes to mind came to me, Joe Gomez needs to leave them. When fit and playing he’s one of the better centre backs we have. I hope we start building the team around Foden asap. Agreed, Gomez needs to be playing regularly. Foden is the future for club and country, he continues to improve too, brilliant the other night.

I honestly think it could be Maguire, Stones, Coady or James fecking Chester. That is an area we are in dire need of major improvement

Must be included in the next squad the options are pretty slim. Mings or Coady should be nowhere near any future squads. Good to see he's picked the lingo up so quickly as well unlike other British players abroad who just never bothered.........

Portugal seem to have nicked Fabio Carvalho from Fulham , which is disappointing.
Interesting to see if Gareth calls up anyone interesting at 2 o'clock.

Coady but no Tomori is ridiculous.
Should have rested one of the established midfielders like Henderson and brought someone like Jacob Ramsay in as well....

Was. Until he started spouting that Italian jibberish😉 Some of their best stuff was during their Italian phase. The arena tour had limited success with dwindling crowds after the sold out Plough Lane gig and while their album found a niche in the alternative genre, album sales were poor with a top chart position of 47. John Peel said “Tomori ruined the band with his exploratory Italian shoe gaze and self flagellating lyrics”.

Harry Maguire 😬 players picked on current form His current form for England is excellent Understand the concerns re his club form but that's not the only factor If we had some obvious candidates to replace him then that might be a different story. Pickford also plays better for England than he does for his club John Barnes was one of the best players ever but bar the odd game wasn't good for England

He scored for fun for Rangers, I don’t remember him getting many appearances let alone goals for England. Likewise Stone was v good for Forest
