Why do people hate the home one so much? It’s completely inoffensive isn’t it?

That shade of sky blue is just not it It's obviously going for a Euro 96 throwback thing (and I didn't like that one either!) but I think it's just OTT and has taken it to a silly place. But.....it's just a football kit, so....I'll forget it in 5 minutes

Yeah, I like the England ODI shirts but that's the colour I always associate with England limited-overs shirts right from the 92 World Cup to the world-cup winning one (although they have been all over the place recently with different T20 kits) I'm sure younger fans won't give a toss - and rightly so

It's pretty average most England kits are these days. I would have liked to have seen a shadowy figure of Sir Captain Tom Moore around the torso area but that's just my preference.......

Tough task to break into a World Cup squad this close to the tournament he's certainly a threat presumably Calvert-Lewin isn't going to make it with squad expanded to 26 he will presumably take 3 central strikers: Kane & Abraham are certain picks (barring injury) competition is probably : Watkins, Ings,Wilson, Bamford (anyone else?) Toney might just sneak in after all

Worth taking Toney for penalty shoots out alone.
A 3 man strike force of Kane, Abraham and Toney would be more than decent......

I think this is possibly what he'll take in the 26? Unless there are some really bold inclusions and exclusions of his favourites in his squad this afternoon Big call to leave Alexander-Arnold out, but I wouldn't be surprised if he does. He'll probably pick him in today's expanded squad though LWB looks a problem if neither are going to play, and Sessegnon may sneak in? Shaw looks out of it, and Potter will probably prefer Cucurella Centre-backs look a massive issue with Maguire not playing much and White playing full-back, but he'll probably play Walker there again Not sure I'd take Ward-Prowse, but I think he will. Always a chance he'll take Rashford, rather than a third striker - but not sure where Sancho could get into a final 26 m.skybet.com/football/england-specials/event/27915508Pickford Ramsdale Pope (Henderson) James Walker Trippier (TAA, Justin) Chilwell Shaw ( Sessegnon, Targett, Mitchell, Henry) Maguire Stones Dier White Tomori (Coady, Guehi, Gomez, Smalling, Burn, Tarkowski, Konsa, Kilman) Rice Phillips Henderson Bellingham Ward-Prowse (Gallagher, Ramsey) Mount Foden Grealish Sterling Saka
(Sancho, Bowen, Maddison, Elliott, Gordon, Barnes, Eze, Loftus-Cheek, Harrison, Smith-Rowe) Kane Abraham Toney (Calvert-Lewin, Wilson, Watkins, Bamford)

I like the away one. Ambivalent towards the home one.
Toney should be in the upcoming squad, let’s see what he can do.

28 players there Rashford & Sancho look like missing out unless there are injuries (which to be fair there usually are) He's consistently picking Guehi

Euro 96 vibe for the home kit and the collar on the away kit is very similar to the one in 1990. Knocked out on penalties in the semi-final by Germany it is then...

Conor Coady's inclusion continues to baffle - and Bowen maybe a bit lucky to have kept his place based on early season Rashford got a chance of sneaking in though maybe

Two things that have jarred this week. The new national anthem. No biggie, just a shock the first time, like, they got the lyrics wrong. Legacy numbers In my defence, I am old. Not Chuffed’s Dad old but….

Tomori offers pace which we don't have otherwise there +he's just had a good season winning then title (not by his own mind...) with Milan Dier has improved under Conte back in a back 3 Guehi is left sided & offers more power than the others

Reminds me of the fume on here every time Shawcross was left out

He did look a different player against Arsenal so I guess if he keeps it up for two months it can only benefit him. Southgate does sometimes pick his favourites. I think Watkins is a bit unlucky, he does a good job for villa but is used to playing without the ball & that’s when his work rate comes through. Rice & Bellingham should be the mainstay in that central midfield for the next few years for me. Only potential one is the keeper. No Pickford so is Ramsdale 1st choice for both or does he give Pope/Henderson a game? Ia Ramsdale even 1st choice out of the three? I’d go Pope over Henderson.

of which 25 are outfield players, so that's just shy of 50% of the squad that are defenders Defensive coach picks lots of defenders shock However you can't in any sense of the word term Alexander Arnold a defender, absolutely woeful and will be a liability defensively against the top sides. But fabulous going forward.
