Pete Smith said he was holding hamstring. Really hope not as that could be a few weeks?

He looked fine after the match Yeah doubt he’d be walking across to the away fans after the game if it was that bad. He’ll be back next Saturday. He was pretty poor today though I thought, but still caused them problems just with the way he plays.

we control the ball 30 yards higher up the pitch when he plays (even when he has off days like today) and he brings others into the game more. hope he is fit soon.

A half fit Nick Powell is way better than any fully fit alternative at the club.

I thought today was not one of his better games. That said, I'd rather have him fit and playing, due to the fact he can produce something out of nowhere, to win us a goal or a game. Going down injured, when off the pitch, was not however one of his brightest moves and left us with 10 men for a couple of unnecessary minutes.

It was his hamstring, he had an ice pack on it When he came across to the Stoke fans

Thought he was poor today. That said he is integral to the way we play, We look lost without him. Hopefully, he's just feeling it after two games in a week after so long out.
Hopefully just precautionary.

Even Powell would agree it was not his finest moment. Shit happens. Yet people on here single out Allen as somehow costing us the fucking game? The play-offs were never going to happen - get over it. The thought of next season prompts a tingling in my nether regions. All we need is patience……

It was very poor from the sidelines that we played for 5 minutes with 10 men. Powell had already signalled he needed to come off.
Had a poor game by his standards. Im sure he will be back next week and in the groove

Apologies if there is another thread on this but how bad is Powell’s injury? Has anyone heard any updates?

We like to keep teams guessing. There is rarely an update on injuries until the pre match press conference. Knowing Powell and looking at the way he was moving at the end of the match I fully expect him to be available on Saturday after a full week of recuperation.

Not as bad as first feared.
Likely to be a ‘short lay off”, whether or not that means missing any games is anyones guess.

He’s fine, he’s currently laying some carpet in my spare room before servicing the current Mrs ‘75. He’s then jogging home to Haslington.

Positives I'd take from after he went down injured was he was winding up the Forest fans as he walked round the edge of the pitch towards the bench. & he walked across the pitch after the final whistle to applaud the Stoke fans at close quarters aswell, had his injury been to bad I'd of expected he'd of headed straight to the changing rooms for treatment or at least avoided unnecessary walking on it. We'll see I guess, hopefully nothing more than a tweaked hamstring that a week off will correct.

I wish someone would do a montage of him being a windup merchant. It's a joy to behold. I thought he was going to get in among the crowd for a minute on Saturday.

He doesn't get particularly angry or abusive, just some cheeky sarcastic digs & gestures aimed in their direction. Definitely winds them up even more when don't react aggressively towards them, Powell has definitely mastered the dark arts of crowd wind ups! Jon Walters was always similar in mannerisms aswell, used to love Jon's cheeky little side skip dance he often did in front of opposition fans after scoring, often infront of the Liverpool fans aswell for an added reaction with his Everton links!

Of Shithousery, he is undoubtedly a master. However, there comes a point when the club need to make a hard decision about whether he is effective every week in this division. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Powell fan. But even his most ardent admirer would, I hope agree that he was shit on Satdee. Is it time to sell in the summer?

Who else we going get in his position for peanuts as we're shopping on scraps these days. He's probably the best attacking midfielder in the league.

When they were warming up on Saturday at Forest in front of the away fans I saw Powell approach Tymon & perform a round house kick in his direction! Now the angles may have made it look worse than it was but it didn't look a million miles away from Josh's head, especially if he'd have flinched! Tymon didn't even react, it was as though its all part & parcel of Nicks character & he's always up to shenanigans! Great to see, although a studded boot catching Tymon in the face/head may not have seemed high jinx had it gone wrong!
