This is a similar sort of thing, taken from Google Street view, it lands you somewhere in the world and you have to guess where. Reminds me of the Wander app on the Oculus headset, always fun to try and guess where you've landed. 5 goes in 5 different places and it tells you how far away in total you were with your guesses as you go and at the end. geoguess.neocities.org/

Took 3. On Statle, some of the so called attractions in a few flat boring states seem to me to be quite bizarre.

I tend to stumble at the flag with Statle even though some sates have the name written on the flag, which narrows choice.

#Worldle #374 1/6 (100%) 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🎉 worldle.teuteuf.frI completed Statele as well, even got the flag Fairly straightforward today. It was helpful that the flag had the name of the state on it. The "attraction" was another example of a flat and boring state having little to write home about!

Both Worldle and Statle fairly straightforward today. Even managed to get past the flags first go. At least the state has a lot to offer the visitor.

I think I've looked at a map of this country more than any other country in the world this last year!! I got 4/6 neighbours right. Got population and currency right. Got flag right, but i reckon you'd have to have been in stasis on Red Dwarf for the last year not to get that right. The capital I used the spelling folk usually use these days and it said I was wrong! Lol so I used the old spelling and it said I was correct. Then in their little description of the country it used the new spelling that it had previously stated to be incorrect! I may appeal! 😅 #Worldle #376 1/6 (100%) 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🎉 worldle.teuteuf.frEdit: did you know that when The Potteries grew from a scattering of small hamlets into an industrial conurbation during the Industrial Revolution, the majority of the population was made up of migrant workers from this^ country, and also Poland, and Italy, and Ireland. In about equal numbers from each. And locals from surrounding areas made up the other approximately fifth of the population. There were a few Welsh too, who chose The Potteries instead of the Valleys. A lot of the migrants from Europe changed their names to English sounding ones, mainly to avoid confusion when giving names to census takers,,, they often chose local place names or job titles. I know all this cos me mum used work in the museum up anleyduck.

deeside2 I just edited my above post by way of adding a bit of history of the Industrial Revolution. Current world affairs are closer to the hearts of us Stokies than a lot of us may know.

Yeah they didn't mention Welsh in the stuff i was reading, maybe because the numbers were less, or maybe they counted them locals. Or it could be just my memory lol.

Your post just got me thinking about my gran again. She said even back in the 1940's after the war she had Polish neighbours, presumably working on the pot banks. I do remember in the 1960's that she still had an old Polish couple as neighbours, probably the same ones.
