HMS Scott was doing gravitronic ocean surveying down there and needed assistance with an engineering failure investigation. So off SMEO and I went. Didn’t get to Nauru as Scott pulled too much seaboard even in light harbour condition. So joined her off Papa NewGuinea and spent couple of nice weeks onboard at sea around the area. Got to some real outlandish places in that job including 6 weeks on Endurance in the Antarctic when her chief tiff went on compassionate leave. |

That's a good draft and deployment, never had 1 like that. 1 of my best mates a CPOMEA (ML) got Barbados instructor, married accompanied for 2 years, jammy barsteward. |
