… is the single most embarrassing thing supporters can do together. Ahead of clappers and singing that they’re going to ‘bounce’ in a minute It’s been a thing for years and years, but for me, it’s just dreadful Been meaning to mention it for a while Take care everyone x Bloody hell. I used to think it was funny until I read this. I'll stop doing it with immediate affect.

It’s so naff it’s quite funny Yes. If it's done separately and out of sync in 2 parts of the ground you can get a nice 'echo' on it !

I always preferred "You're shit" to "You fat bastard", but having heard "You shit bastard" yesterday I have to say that's the best of both worlds.

It's was one in a list of goalkeeper specific piss takes I remember growing up with in the late 70s. Designed to make them have a shit game. By far and away the best at the Vic was clapping the away goalkeeper all the way to his line before KO and if the daft bugger waved give him the twos and a wanker sign followed by a loud "arrrghhh wanker" Snowballs on the back of his head and You fat bastard Etc. Childish maybe but all part of the ritual.

Not quite sure who said it, I think Franz Fanon, but he said something like football fans have the unique role of any audience in that you can impact the events on the pitch though jeering and cheering.
I love to hear a witty piss taking chant
Like Micky Flanagan says, the British are world leaders in piss taking

You’re. Shit. AAAAAAAGH (aagh, aaagh, aagh etc as the ball was contested/lost in midfield)
Was always the definitive version for me. Love it. Probably less of a thing now that a goal kick tends to be a short sideways pass along the six-yard line
