3/6 today.
Average of 4.07 from 13 plays so far. No fails. Yesterday's was very annoying. Light, fight, right, night, might, could've been any one of those.
Hope it stays free but since the NY Times has bought it, I have my doubts. At the very least you'll probably be expected to register to play. Shame.

Everyone seems to have their own selection of 'go to' list of first word choices. Regular posters will know I've been following this game since it's introduction in 1972. They'll also be aware that I follow what I call a "one guess, then fuck it" approach. I do indeed have a "go to" list of word choices - in my case the list consists of one word. To be honest, "MINGE" hasn't been wildly successful so far, so I'm changing my list to "SPUNK"....can't wait for tomorrow! |

Annoying that it's US English. First one i tried a few weeks ago turned out to be "Favor", which isn't something i'd even considered with the options i had left as that word should be 6 bloody letters as far as i'm concerned!  So prepare to choose "Z" instead of "S" in your initial guesses lads and lasses. A good point well made, Mr. MillsLovechild. I am fortunate that the spelling of the only word I use when playing the game does not support the maxim "two countries divided by a common language". However, when using it "across the pond" its meaning can be subtly different, especially when in the company of young ladies. |
