Bursik Bonham Fielding…..contract up Edwards (?)…..loan to NY Smith…..contract up Duhaney Jagielka….contract up Moore……..contract up Wilmot Chester……contract up Harwood-Bellis….contract up Forrester Souttar (out injured) Tymon Fox….contract up Allen…..contract up Clucas Baker Thompson….is his contract up! Vrancic….contract up Powell Sawyers….contract up Oakley-Booth Fletcher…..contract up Maja……contract up Campbell Brown JPB…..contract ended DWP Edit: lead to believe we have a lad called Abdallah Sima on the books Am I missing anyone? 18 games left. 6 points off playoffs. Another midtable finish would be disappointing and unacceptable imo. Especially after repeating the exact mid-season downfall of last season. Simply need a very strong finish or else MON should be under huge pressure going into next season. He shouldn't be here if we end up mid-table. Massive summer coming up if I have got the above correct?

hes been consistently backed every window. Time MON delivered something material now. hes got 8 days to get this rousing rabble into a spartan like army..... (cup is a bonus game). may we live in interesting times... He hasn't been backed at all Every penny he has generated by wheeling and deeling He’s been massively backed. They didn’t have to give him the money to spend. They didn’t have to allow to do all these deals this January: He’s been backed to the hilt.

The process of stabilising the club while getting rid of those players and that wage bill has included getting in some players and putting some youth on better contracts. If you want to call that being backed to the hilt, fill your boots.

OK, MON has his squad, he must now get that squad in or near the play offs.
If not, questions have to be answered is he the man for the job.

And I didnt expect us to prperly blood and hold onto our better youngsters. I didnt expect us to turnover the playing personel so quickly. Did I expect us to spend only 6 million over three seasons? After the last few managers? Erm... I guess its a bit unexpected, yes. Would I call any of it "backed to hilt"? No. He is clearly trusted, but trusted on very different terms to previous managers. No doubt this summer will be the crunch window, but it would be a travesty not to give it to him.

I'm surprised you didn't think we'd be blooding some of the youngsters tbh, given the restrictions we have on spending whoever came in wouldn't have had a choice but to use some of them. On a positive though, it shows the good work that's being done in the academy.

Wasnt Campbell was on the verge of leaving when ONeil came? To me its been a pleasant surprise under ONeil even if its more a matter of fortuitous timing and necessity.

He’s still still clearing through the carnage of the last two managers. We were a dead man walking when he took over. He kept us up. He’s got the wage bill down massively whilst keeping us competitive in the top half of a horrible league, and vitally keeping some harmony in the camp whilst doing it. Pretty much everything he’s done has been funded by the sale of Collins. Under his watch we now appear to be on the right side of the FFP debacle. You are massively underestimating the job he is doing.

He’s been backed massively. He’s in the black in terms of spending. And he’s had to reduce the wage bill by 50%. How is that, in any way, shape or form being “backed massively”?

How is that, in any way, shape or form being “backed massively”? I think he's been trusted, but he's not been backed per se. They are different things. He's been trusted to overhaul the playing staff, but has had to do so under serious constraints - whereas in my mind being 'backed' would imply we had given him pots full of cash, which we've not. Squad turnover has been high, and that does come with the associated costs of course, but I have no problem with that if we're within our means as I thought most of our players were shit. As far as I'm aware he's in the black?
