Chester really was dreadful. His passing is scary at times and he's so lightweight.
Overall it was an encouraging performance. Hopefully we can build on it for the next two away games.

Couple of points from FULHAM Site:
Thoughts of the day! Scored two brilliant goals by Muniz and Reid. Sadly also conceded two world class goals from Stoke. But we won. posted by Tony R (Guest) - Saturday 22nd January 2022, 5:45 PM

Lots of positives to take from the game but all three of their goals could and should have been defended better, Chester is an embarrassment and should never play again if we’re serious about anything this season.

Need at least 4 points from the next two games as every bugger else is winning. Powell needs to come back asap. Hopefully this will be the last we see of Chester starting. Don't hold your breath, Chester must have something on MON.

That was the best we played since WBA and the best we've played all season. We won't come up against a Premier League team every week. No complaints but I would have brought on Vrancic and Fletcher not Ince and Campbell personally.

Had to be out today, got home and saw we'd lost by only 1 goal against a team that outclasses every other team in the league when they are firing on all cylinders. Many of us were hoping for a draw and for us not to get blown out. Well we came close to that. But I instantly knew what I'd find on here.
Never fails to disappoint. So we're back in meltdown mode and the world ends this week? Got it.
Edit: Now, after watching the replay? Man Jagielka is important to us! We came so close to tying that! Except for losing, it was a good watch. I saw multiple Stoke players controlling a ball at first touch! Philostene-Badass alone nearly tied it for us twice there in the waning minutes - he's nasty-quick. Knockeart or however you spell it, should have been booked for a dive as Fulham resorted to time-wasting. Don't see anything to spit the dummy out about right now. Nice to hear the stadium rocking.

I'll be glad when Wilmot returns - although we could still do with a specialist left footed centre back. Fox is better defensively than Chester but Fox doesn't contribute much to our attack. Pity none of our best young cbs seem to be left footers. Must be a position to look at once we are clear of FFP problems.

Next game can we just start with 10 players and drop Jester? Playing him is like giving the opposition a 12th man anyway.

Yep, if Wilmot isn't fit come Tuesday Chester will be in, we have no one else. Makes the shifting of Baath a bit strange. Isn't Bellis left footed? Push him over and have Smith on the right of a three maybe? Anything has to be better than JC. Not his fault, he doesn't pick himself does he.

Surely he has to be dropped after that performance - cost us two goals. Those two errors and flappy hands cost us the game. Nevertheless I enjoyed it and the future looks brighter than a couple of weeks ago.

Bellis is right footed but, according to transfermarkt, he has played on the left of a pair of cbs on occasions.

God knows what it would like without Jagielka - in fact I shudder to think about it.

Was Bonham's shirt being pulled when he went up to punch that corner away? OS. yes, it was a foul and should have been a free out. It was very cleverly done with the offender not marking the keeper, and only arriving late to commit the offence. Our goalkeeper is obviously not a member of the overprotected species.

the entire point of the game is to score the most goals , so credit to fulham
the only way to lose and be a credit to yourself , is to go down fighting and stoke did that
both teams were a credit to themselves

Fulham boss Marco Silva told BBC Radio London:
"Some very good moments of football and I think we deserved the three points.
"It was a balanced game and Stoke had big moments too. But we showed we have the character to be top of this league.
"Stoke are a quality team and are always hard to beat. We expected it to be a tough one and they scored after 45 seconds but we reacted well."

Fulham are a good side. Premiership standard. We paid them too much respect in the first half. The second half after the subs we showed what we can do. If we had started with that line up it would have been a different result. Allen, Chester and Clucas are holding us back. Great game today lads.
