This really has nothing to do with Ukraine, but, of course, Putin will use it to justify more appalling actions. It’s highly likely this is a false flag action; Putin has form for these. Apparently it’s the doing of a Ukrainian woman who rented an apartment next to the blown up woman, drives a mini and has now gone to Estonia.... From all accounts she fully endorsed the invasion of Ukraine, pity it didn’t get both of them. Anyone doubting Putin’s capacity for false flag ops should read From Russia With Blood. Among many other awful acts Putin has conducted was the 1999 bombing of flats in Moscow carried out under Putin’s orders.

Because obviously if you're gonna flee the country you'd definitely leave that behind. Russia keeps doing shit like this and sometimes it's even more obvious that they made it up!

Very early (so could be crap) reports that Aleksandr Dugin’s (who is Putin ideology mentor) daughter has been assassinated via a car bomb in Moscow. This really has nothing to do with Ukraine, but, of course, Putin will use it to justify more appalling actions. It’s highly likely this is a false flag action; Putin has form for these. Looks like Dugin himself was the intended target. I can't imagine why Putin would sacrifice Dugin, but I suppose you can't put anything past him.

Don’t know what’s worse, well I do seeing your daughter blown to pieces in front of your face. IMO it’s an inside job getting at Putin 💥

Oh God yeah the lies have started already. I wonder who in Russia did it and why though.

Happy Independence Day Ukraine!
Big fears that Russia will launch massive missile attacks today to try and scare people again.

The map shows Ukraine has retaken areas too.
Russia took a bite in the east from the battle of Sievierodonetsk. Videos and photos show Russians losing 2-5 times as much equipment as the Ukrainians by attacking into fortifications.
The big bit up north that's blue, Ukrainian artillery and special forces hurt the Russians who eventually sent so many soldiers to Sievierodonetsk that the Ukrainians just rolled over the leftovers. Ukraine attacks haven't thrown meat into the grinder like the Russians and it's worked in a lot of places.
Next up: Kherson. We'll have to wait and see if the Ukrainians can pull it off but they clearly have a plan.

Independence Day presents from Uncle Joe to Ukraine!155,000 rounds of NATO ammo (1+ month's worth), radars to find Russian guns and 6 modern anti-aircraft systems with a total of 72 anti-aircraft launchers. Crucial kit. They still need more and different kit but this will help.

There are a lot of things wrong with Boris but I agree his actions around Ukraine have done us proud. He’s not the first PM who seems to be more comfortable on the international stage than in his homeland. Of course, the international role is a lot easier, which suits Johnson to a T. That said, I can’t fault him on Ukraine. So credit where’s its due. Shame he was unable to bring his full faculties to bear on domestic politics. Or maybe he did. And that’s the problem.

I see what Germany was trying to do and why they didn't want to go all militaristic. It just turns out they fucked up, but maybe it would have worked with someone other than Putin. Sounds like they're fixing it now though. Ukraine has an order for 100 Panzerhaubitzen mobile artillery that Germany will make. Hopefully they've learned their lesson.

I think that’s part of the Chinese long term policy Allow the west to become so dependent on its imports that when it invades Taiwan the response will be tepid at best

New microchip factories being built in the US and Europe now, at long last. Modern chips now are mainly SK and Taiwan. If Taiwan blows up the fabs then China will be in trouble too. There's only one company on Earth that makes the machines for cutting edge chip fabs and they're Dutch. IMO we should be preparing to cut China out entirely.

Putin just signed a decree to add 137,000 people to the Russian armed forces.
Not clear how many would be front line soldiers and the intel people online can't see how he'll do it. Russia couldn't even fill its Spring draft and they've been offering big signing bonuses since March too.

Recent news:
- Germany now gets less than 10% of its gas from Russia and Europe's storage tanks are filling.
- Russia pulled its major anti-aircraft system from Syria back to Europe. They must be throwing everything into Ukraine.
- Movement is slow e.g. since 5th August Russians have kept claiming they took Pisky, but even yesterday they showed videos of them bombing Ukrainian defences in Pisky. Russia is so desperate for propagananda wins that they're focusing massively on a town of 2,000 people. A long way since "Kyiv in 3 days"!
- Russia is forming a new "Third Army Corps" and they're getting some of the last modern tanks Russia has left. This could be the last Russian military group left to attempt big attacks in the foreseeable future.

Russian sources have been freaking out which is great news. A long way to go but all the best to Ukraine's heroes. I've seen claims that Kherson is a feint to pin Russia away from the real attack further east, towards Melitopol. IMO Kherson is probably Ukraine's best attempt, they've trapped a lot of Russian equipment and a win would be huge.
