…rather QPR lost the match by giving us way to much space, especially to Vrancic. I can’t believe they were that naive. I can’t see another team making the same mistake.
terible penalty didn’t do them any favors either.

Cheers for clearing that up, hopefully the league takes those 3 points off us.

We didn't lose to Blackburn, we simply made a defensive error that they capitalised on..............

Simple, we scored two of the half chances we got with cool finishes, they couldn't take theirs. One of the comments that always irks me is when people say a team were unfortunate that they were against a goal keeper in inspired form. No they are not, a goalkeeper is there to stop the ball going in the net. He is part of the team just like a striker who scores 30 goals.

When we beat Luton away, I turned to my mate and said “we haven’t won this game, Luton have lost it by not scoring as many goals as us”

It's brought them plenty of success in recent weeks so I don't think its naivety. I agree about the penalty.

When we beat Luton away, I turned to my mate and said “we haven’t won this game, Luton have lost it by not scoring as many goals as us” I remember when we beat Bolton 5-0 at Wembley, everyone was going wild celebrating at the end but not me. I simply stood their shaking my head and shouting "We didn't win that game, Bolton lost it by showing a defensive naivety that has become synonymous with Owen Coyle's recent teams. I will be boycotting the Final and urge every fellow Stokie to do the same"

Yesterday we were not even watching a game of football it was merely an abstract simulation of interpretive dance involving a white orb.

I get that in some games a team loses rather than a team wins, but yesterday I think I watched a game where the away team clearly had the upper hand tactically and took their chances. That's an away win, right?

We certainly deserved to win but QPR did themselves no favors. We won’t see many teams like that who will give us so much space and don’t press us into mistakes. Every other team except QPR has played us that way this season. Vrancic and Sawyers had their best games of the season because they had time on the ball. Other teams won’t make that mistake.

Just like when we lose or fail to get 3 points through missing a penalty (often ) or giving the other team too much space in midfield or making a mistake or missing clear cut chances or any other reason you care to mention. Its as though you are making excuses for them losing rather than us deserving to win ? And other teams have either made the same mistake (when we have beaten them) or they have not (and we have lost) ? Really not sure of the point you are trying to make.

I would say every goal in the history of football is due to giving the goal scorer too much space one way or another. Just a thought

I would say every goal in the history of football is due to giving the goal scorer too much space one way or another. Just a thought That’s not true at all. Space is needed to score. However, the scoring team can create its own space which is much harder than when the opposition concedes space in critical areas. QPR did the latter, inviting us to play through balls and take shots unopposed.

I am not sure that’s true, but if it is you just made my point. The point is we did win. I agree. I actually changed my mind (see edit above). My point is other teams won’t give us that kind of space again this season because that is why we have have struggled all season against teams that press the ball and pack the defense. QPR won’t be promoted with that style. They are enjoying the proverbial new manager bounce, which rarely lasts once the other teams work out their game plan.
