As soon as Fletcher went off and he came on it went to shit. What sort of a striker is he meant to be? We’d honestly be better sticking Batth up there. He's one of those players who knows how not to get involved in the game. The most concerning signing we have made so far. He never ever made himself available for the ball. I simply can't see why Bournemouth decided to sell him for such a reasonable price? A total mystery. MoN and his boys must've been laughing at the naivety of their transfer team when we blew a big part of our budget on him!

Useless, as is Brown. Absolutely zero chance of getting top half of the league with these pair….Absolutely no chance

Bit harsh, he started well when he first arrived, just gone a bit poop of recent, didn’t understand that he had to do more than just chest the ball today but hopefully he’ll return to how he was when he first arrived.

In terms of the financial situation we currently find ourselves in, you could argue that Surridge has been just as big a disaster as the likes of Berahino, Wimmer and Imbula.
How our manager and recruitment team decided that Surridge was the player they wanted to spend the majority of the seasons budget on is just a complete head scratcher.

What can he actually do? He’s not quick, not strong, not great with the ball. I don’t see anything that makes me think he’ll come good.

I imagine it came from extensive monitoring and watching him play in at least one game. It's always crucial to do extensive homework before committing to an important purchase after all.

If Fletcher could have managed to have done 90 minutes today ,despite him being below par I'm convinced we'd have seen out that game.
That's how bad Surridge was today.

This is taken directly from the official website about when we signed him
Manager Michael O’Neill said: “In terms of a permanent signing Sam has been our number one striking option that we identified. We’ve had to be very patient but it’s great to get it done.
“He’s a young player with all his best years ahead of him and he will be a fantastic addition to our squad.”
It’s like a wind up. No one really could have wanted him as number one target? He’s absolute garbage. Poor in air, poor on floor, slow, weak and hasn’t a clue positionally

I honestly don’t see how we can functional? You either stick Batth up there who won more in the air in his 2 minutes up front. Or you recall Taylor and start the passing game in a back 3 again. After that I can’t think of a way to get this side functional with what we have.
