Sure he was ill 🤒 in the week. Would have been a perfect chance for him with Smith out last minute. I thought Tymon did a pretty decent job today. When Tymon gets to the byline and puts a cross in, it is generally a good one. His problem is that in the area between the half way line and the outer edge of the penalty area he should take his full back on more often than he does. I'd go so far as to say that he passes back from that position as often as he tries to beat his man on the outside. For me he should be able to put in 50% more crosses than he does. Smith hasn't the pace to do it so often but Tymon has and should do a lot more. I agree. He could definitely learn to be more direct with his running. It would help if he didn’t get the ball to feet so often as well though. It’s hard to build up pace when you are stationary and have a defender in front of you.

Doughty hasn't been given a chance. Hope he's injured. No matter how good Jayden is, it takes a while to get up to speed with men's football Doughty not even on the bench today. This, despite creating an assist in the FA Cup. Jaden Philogene-Bidace did OK, but right now Doughty is better and O'Neil signed him. So why the fuck is a 19 year old loanee ahead of him suddenly. It's emperor's new clothes. Better? Based on what? JPB did well with the time he had, he's touted as being a real prospect. I'd prefer we give him a chance over someone who hasn't really done much to make the position his own.

Play Doughty on the left, and move Tymon into the left side of centre midfield???
May not be the ideal scenario, but it's got to be a better option than playing Clucas???

Pity Sir Stan isn't still around to coach him on speed off the mark. I never saw a winger better able to outpace a full back over the first few yards - and he could still do it in his late 40s!

It's taken DWP 1 game to get up to speed with men's football? No reason why it won't for Jayden

Yeah, hopefully. Let's give Doughty a chance too though - guy's got talent. Doesn't have to be one or the other Doughty hasn't been given a chance. Hope he's injured. Paid his wage for 6 months when he was injured , played him about 3 times then loan him and sell him. Laughable

In order to get the players in we want certain players have to go out.Yes it may seem strange recruitment initially but we can’t afford to carry an injury prone player whilst FFP still bites in my opinion

I think we can be pretty certain now that Aldridge was binned back off to Millwall rather than out of his own choice.

Bad recruitment I’m afraid

Least we're recycling our dead wood quickly and painlessly these days, it's a start I suppose.
Will all be forgotten if we recruit well this summer, a big if of course.......
