How much did all of the below cost us? Afobe Ince Wimmer Vokes Berahino Imbula 12.5 10 (rising to 12 which were probably not met) 15 (rising to 18 which were probably not met) 7 12 (rising to 15 which were probably not met) 18 So, not including wages, a heartbreaking £75m, and we probably had to pay them all a lot of money to leave. Berahino alone was said to be a £2.5m payout. And this might be the first money recouped, although I;m still a bit dubious we'll get a fee.

I presume this talk of a biggish fee is highly speculative! www.hln.be/club-brugge/club-brugge-dicht-bij-stoke-city-spits-benik-afobe-die-na-enkele-woelige-jaren-carriere-wil-herlanceren~a5001ae2/Benik Afobe will be the new striker of Club Brugge, barring surprises. The 29-year-old attacker impressed this year on a loan basis at Millwall FC, series mate of his parent club Stoke City. The London club wanted to keep Afobe ashore in his last contract year, but the youth product of Arsenal seems completely won for a Bruges adventure. Club is in far-reaching negotiations with Afobe, who should offer Carl Hoefkens and the blue and black in the front more options. For Stoke City, the departure of the striker, who is entering his final year of contract, is a foregone conclusion. A few million euros should therefore be sufficient to quickly find an agreement. The player himself wants to try his luck in Europe after a few turbulent years. A few is a minimum of 3 €3m how much is that in £? £3 million in todays exchange rate. Reckon it’ll be closer to £1 million though. What a window so far!

I don't think I've ever seen a worse header of a football as an attacking player ever at Stoke City and I've been going since 1979! Good fucking riddance when he does finally fuck off for good. Just leaves that other twat Etebo. Then we are free of the real freeloaders.

Well if he finally does leave that will be the end of Rowetts dream front 3 of Ince Afobe McClean, costing a mere £27m !!! The return for that investment is less than zero. Some people blame Hughes for where we are now, but 27m with FFP on the horizon....read it and weep! It's a classic case of owners backing the manager with nobody prepared to question Rowetts transfer dealings. I am not sure anyone on here would have agrreed with Rowetts choice of a front 3. I guess we have FFP to thank for stopping another manager pissing millions up the wall without any challenge from the board. If FFP actually let clubs with backing spend. As long as the owners are covering the debt then we could spend on every manager until we got it right. Then there is no issue as long as Coates is putting money in but that will never happen as they don't want the so called top 6 being derailed.

I will only take £1m when then realise I can't play football.

75M. I think I need to log off for a while. Christ a bastard live. If this had happened at any other club we'd be laughing our bollocks off at the total incompetence of it all. It truly is a fuck up of colossal proportions. We went from one of the most well run clubs in the country to a total basket case within months. It's all happened on John Coates watch.

You can't help thinking that a good DOF would not only have stopped those deals going through, but would have helped steer the board in the right direction in terms of a manager capable of spending that kind of money wisely, and put in a proper recruitment model earlier, given the thoughts within the corridors of the club were to spend that level of finance that summer. Ultimately it does us no good as fans to keep on going over it, and crying over spilt milk but it doesn't half make your blood boil when it does enter your thoughts. There are no guarantees of success in football I'm sure we all know and accept, but you can control things a bit better than what we did surely? It just disappoints me and infuriates me in equal measure. The Coates family are genuinely good people, look after their workforce, invest heavily in the area and i'm convinced we'll never see their like again on that front in this city but they haven't got a clue how to modernise their football club. It could and should be so much better. Or just told Rowett to Fuck off you useless cunt ! Is that in a cockney accent 😃

Fair play to him. He's carved out a very good living, off the back of one good season across his whole career. 7 years ago. Ffs.

Only Ince occasionally showed me something. And it was too much $$ for "occasionally." The rest are in the WTF League.

The rest are in the WTF League. I don’t think Vokes was that bad when he was in a 2. He was important in keeping us up in MON’s first season. He was not a player who could play the high press and he was a player who needed high crosses into the box to do well.

Let’s not forget Ndiaye and Etebo, probably another 30+ million in fees and wages.
It’s probably 200 million plus in total since 2015.
Without the Coates family continuing to back us I’m not sure we’d exist as a league club after the scale of those disasters.

He was not a player who could play the high press and he was a player who needed high crosses into the box to do well. Despite being dubbed "The Wardrobe" you actually make a good point, I recall Vokes as decent early on. [bottle whizzes by] Now that I further recall, he was one of the reasons I was wanting us to PLAY with 2 up front! Also, I'll say it now - Ince could do some things, the problem is, it could be really good or really bad. I found him frustrating. I think something was afoot in that changing-room and it was one of 3 things: 1) Berahino ran over Pottermus in the parking-lot and refused to apologize, causing anger throughout the franchise and ruining one of Wimmer's naps. Imbula got mad, went to kick a water-cooler and missed. Afobe couldn't be bothered, because he's been out on loan since what, 1966? 2) Vokes didn't "buy in" to the whole, "Let's all go take a sh*t in the visiting changing-rooms so Warnock will have something to whine about" team-bonding exercise. After that, he would have been a pariah. 3) A long-term "Piss It, I Can't Be Bothered" 6-year revolving-door virus running rife through the club. Often mis-diagnosed as Tourette's because the first symptom is a tic where the patient routinely blurts out "What's all the fuss about?" I never saw anything consistently out of any of those guys. And I don't know how much was down to all the chopping/changing/lack of a plan/utter bullshit that was going on at the time, or how much the player was just producing kaka. A very convoluted/confusing time that will not be looked back upon fondly by most.

Looks like we are actually going to get a fee! Blimey. I wonder if it'll be any more than nominal?
Stoke have agreed a deal in principle with Club Brugge for the sale of Benik Afobe. The 29-year-old has agreed personal terms and is travelling for a medical today.
Watford and Millwall - where he spent last season on loan - had been interested in signing the striker, but he has opted to head to Belgium for the next chapter in his career. Final negotiations on the fee that is due to Stoke are now being completed.
Afobe will be playing Champions League football with the Belgian champions.
