Didn't think either side were great. Both played not to lose first half. Second they took one chance they got and apart from the one hitting the bar. We did take the one chance we got by hitting the post and tye's effort. Sadly think they will go up auto. Best chance of the game fell to Brown after 20 seconds. Thompson’s was the bast chance mate when you see it from the camera behind the goal

We need three new midfielders and two defenders in January. Enough of Chester (just not good enough), Sawyers (he should take up ballet), Allen (totally lost the form he once had), Ince (how long before his bloody contract ends?), Clucas (absolutely brainless), ... and even Powell. I reckon if there was an award for getting the most added air time for being injured, Powell would win it. MON should simply tell this lot to stay home and watch TV for the rest of the season. Surely MON must realise now that a playoff spot is the best that we can achieve. Barring any setbacks, Fulham and Bournemouth will romp into the Premier League.

He is our top scorer and arguably our best player. Even if he is injured half the time, the half he does play he is having noticeably more impact than our other forwards! I think we need to get to a point when Powell is one of our squad options - say 3rd or 4th choice. Then we will be in a good spot.

After Wed. Night we could be down to 8th. If we are serious about making the play offs,MON must stop giving some teams too much respect.

Do any of you actually go back and read your live comments, they're embarrassing. We were beaten by a much better team, if he hadn't played 5 in midfield it would have been 3 or 4. We are a work in progress, deal with it.

The first touch of most of our players is terrible, it always seems to bounce away from them and then a tackle is needed to retrieve the ball. Some of the passing is terrible losing it easily to the opposition or hospital passes to our own players. Bournemouth were infinitely superior in positioning, passing and most other aspects of the game. We need to learn to pass quickly as simply as possible and keep moving. Tymon seems to have regressed and needs a rest. He seems reluctant to burst forward and take his man on. Clucas should be got rid of ASAP.

I'm putting my neck out here and saying you're both wrong. 3-1 tonight and I shall be back to give it the big one Goooaaarrrnnn Stoke. 👋 Back to eat humble pie. On the plus side, considering our best player went off early I thought we weren't a million miles off what I think are the best team in the league. We'll do ok this season as long as Powell ain't out for too long.

If we are serious about automatic promotion we needed to take 6 points from the Sheff Utd and Bournemouth games… we ended up with zero and Bournemouth now 10 points clear of us. We look a lot better than previous championship seasons but I reckon we will be anywhere from 6th to 12th by the time the season ends. Massive improvements but not good enough to mount a serious challenge for promotion

Saturday's Game and last night showed an obvious, yes an obvious, weakness in midfield. Powder Puff springs to mind. We need a midfield hard man, destroyer and one who can get at his fellow players when they are just wandering around like Clucas & Allen. Although I just think Allen has had it. In January we must address this and bring a player who can be feared by the opposition and a leader. Then John Swift a midfield creator - Reading FC - a must at any cost otherwise 2021-22 is lost

Bournemouth was mentally & physically faster than us in critical moments of that game, but mostly mentally faster. At times our defense was just...mental. That goal of "theirs" - Need to make sure our players know which END the damned thing needs to go in. Didn't set the world on fire at "playing out of the back" did we? Damn!
So they're the best in the league. We gift them a goal and lose 1-0. Sorry, but my knickers are still dry.
We need some tweaks. (Stole that out of Captain Obvious's file cabinet)
No Saido! No Saido! I didn't say "tweaker," stay where you're at man. We're good!

The game Tuesday night reminded me of some of those later matches under Mark Hughes where we'd sink to a three or four goal defeat without the opposition really busting a gut but being a little bit better all over the park.
Some (fairly obvious) observations:
We shouldn't ask Brown to play up front on his own,
Smith and Tymon do their best work in the opposition half, so if we're pressed back to a back five, we become a bit toothless, and
Clucas, please no more. Why even did we extend his contract?

We rely too much on Powell (who I said will be out for a long time) and Mario. It’s coming back to haunt MON with his lack of creativity. It’s like having the dinosaur back, NO PLAN B!
