Just seen an advert claiming that '60% of young adults have experienced period shaming' Young women surely? Perhaps it means that they don’t know when the Tudors reigned, or when the Jurassic age was or something like that.

It’s fair enough, the child of one of my colleagues eats wood! I’m not joking he’s chewed all his oak furniture. He’s like a fucking beaver! Is you colleague an anthropomorphic moose called Bullwinkle? If so, I really want to work where you do 👍

DBS last year said it had to close a loophole in its processes as convicted child sex offenders were changing their names to regain access to kids following getting DBS certificates. grahamlinehan.substack.com/p/does-this-look-like-closing-a-loophole?s=rThey now have a transgender application team who offer applicants to contact them if they do not want to disclose their previous name to a future employer. Can drive a bus through the safe guarding!!!

Wish I had a proper job like those guys I was going to ask for some time off work to go to London and dress up as a doctor and after they'd finished laughing I was told to fuck off and don't be silly. Miserable twats.

Jeremy Vines conclusion on the radio yesterday was that theft is acceptable if someone looks poor. Some callers basically saying that's what retailers are there for, especially the larger ones. Makes you wonder.

Which has an impact on poorer people who don't want to steal their food. Not really thought this through have they? No doubt these are the sort of people who see protests as a chance to bag a new flat screen TV and some new trainers.

Folk wonder why someone like Boris is in power. Well, it’s people like Ash who who help big time by offering an alternative way of thinking that, let’s be generous, doesn’t resonate with regular people. But, this is a bit of a heavy topic for the Clown World. I like this thread best when it comments on life’s absurdities out with the world of politics.

No doubt these are the sort of people who see protests as a chance to bag a new flat screen TV and some new trainers. After doing my stint in the Met one of my jobs for 3 years was in the cctv/security dept for a new ASDA store and I'd say that roughly 100% of the theft that occurred wasn't to supplement benefits although discovering our losses on plug-in air freshener refills by teenage glue sniffers to keep them going was an eye opener.
