Great to see BUT it’s yet another 2 days lost revenue for County cricket in ticket sales for the ECB

We really did dominate that series should hopefully give us a bit of confidence. Atkinson and Smith have been 2 great additions though I still really like Foakes behind the stumps.

Have to say Broads really impressed me since joining the commentary team.
Great player but always thought he came across as a bit of a big head. How wrong I was. Comes across as a top bloke and very knowledgable.
Thought the Bob Willis tribute chat between him and Jimmy that was on yesterday was an incredibly touching piece.

Different game these days, more like an extended version of one day cricket than old test matches.
That's not all bad, you could argue watching some of the past players was like watching paint dry, "correctness" as was.
I think a result in less than 3 days on balance is better than playing 5 days for a draw, especially if no result due to rain, which was incredibly frustrating.
Well done England, you can only beat the opposition put up against, need say no more. Actually sad to see West Indies cricket in its current state.

Rocky Flintoff currently batting for Lancs in the one day cup.
Aged 16, son of Andrew.
It’s on YouTube for anyone interested in watching.

Brilliant 3-0 win with ease really. Looking forward to the Sri Lanka series which will be a bigger test? I know their one day sides aren’t up to much these days.

If the late summer wickets are a bit dry and worn then they could assist the Sri Lankan spinners however I don't think their batting is much stronger than the West Indies. They have never been able to replace the likes of Sangakkara or Jayawardene.

It’s thick as fuck really. How many minutes has Crawley spent at the crease so far in this series. It feels like about 15 minutes. Shocking for an opening batsman. He was at the crease for quite a long time in the first game given he was top scorer. ffs I'd forgotten all about the first game. My apologies to Crawley.

Good he’s been a total disaster. Someone needs to have a word with Buttler too about stepping down as captain

The main reason why Buttler won't be sacked for the time being is that there is no obvious successor. I think Harry Brook will captain England at some point but this might be too soon for him. As for the new coach, Eoin Morgan would be a good choice if he is interested. I think Andrew Flintoff might have a chance as well.

Can see Trescothick getting it full time

The Hundred is dire isn't it. I thought due to the bad return last year they were going to call it a day.
Also who on earth thought putting the scores on screen like that was a good idea? It's confusing to regular cricket watchers, let alone newbies to the game that this idiotic form of cricket is allegedly trying to attract. Surely this will be it's last year. Makes the Stanford 20/20 look like a decent event.

Infuriating too when you see an obvious talent like Pooran who only cares about the short formats (for obvious reasons), averages 40 in ODIs and won't play for his nation on the biggest stage in test cricket - Meanwhile guys in the Windies top 5 were averaging 5.

Anyone whose not seen it the Shamar Joseph doc with Athers is well worth a watch. What a story. Tough first trip for him in England but hopefully he can follow up with some big performances back home in a couple of weeks.

I actually think it’s good for the women’s game as it genuinely attracts the worlds best players and showcases their talents. For men’s cricket it’s an abomination……

Seen Jonathan Trott touted for the England role.
He’s been excellent for Afghanistan so would make sense?
Butler definitely needs to step down as captain but should also be in both sides still as he’s about our best one day batsman still. He’s just not a very good captain.

The ECB pressurised all of the England players to take part in their pet project leading to this mess. I guess Pope will captain the side but balancing the team will be tough. I don't know if we have a test quality allrounder who can come in, so they either move Smith up the order and have an extra bowler or they pick an extra batsman and try to get by with 4 bowlers.
