He’s been great for Derbyshire and great for the game. I’d still love him to coach England one day…….

Hameed and Jennings both good players of spin they've got to be in with a shout of making the Pakistan tour....

Hameed and Jennings both good players of spin they've got to be in with a shout of making the Pakistan tour.... And players in form should be picked. Clearly they have both had good seasons. I can't say Hameed has ever filled me with confidence in the past. Whenever he's played for England he's looked scared/out of place when in the middle imo, but maybe now he's a little older he's worth another go and if you're doing the business in county cricket you should get picked. I wouldn't write off Sibley either. He had a good season for Warwickshire. Not spectacular but good. 54 and 77 in his last match and an average of 42.5 over 25 innings. Edit - just realised he's included in that second list of players!

Sibley is Surrey bound so he'll get a call up at the earliest opportunity

Me and my big stupid mouth again. Fantastic work by Rizwan to whip off the bails though. Something I wasn’t aware of is it’s only classed as a stumping if the ball goes behind the stumps otherwise it’s called a run out. Just goes to show what great work and presence of mind it was from Rizwan to take the ball from shoulder height from in front of the stumps.

Cracking knock from Malan. And some say his strike rate isn’t quick enough. 78 off 47 puts that idea to bed. Although he did run Salt out. 210 needed for Pakistan

A better all round t20 performance on the sub continent you will not see. That was an absolute drubbing. What a great series it’s been, played in a terrific spirit and fair play to the Pakistani fans for showing great appreciation to the England team for touring, they won’t forget it. Well in lads👏🏻

Good series win from 3-2 down.
Nice to see Woakes back and in the wickets after such a long lay-off.

Of course they can all play and with Afghanistan first we may not go full strength I'd pick Woakes ahead of both of those two. Curran has age on his side. I can see why getting experience under his belt is a good idea for England's future, but I can't say I'm convinced by him yet.

I guess the difference is Woakes can open the bowling and he does that well. However, if you’ve got Wood and Topley doing that I’m not sure where Woakes fits? I’d lean towards Curran myself. All 3 can hold a bat so don’t think that comes into it. Got to look at the Aussie wickets as well, who’s going to be the better bowler in their pitches? Again I’d be inclined to go Curran but it all hangs on the fitness of Wood I think

Woakes for me. A brummie and its closer to Stoke.
Good job I'm not in charge of selection with that bias..

Seems like a change of tack from the ECB about the county game. Now appear to have compromised on three divisions with promotion and relegation, 12 games a season bizarrely.
Can't say I ever like it when you play certain teams more or less than others as it seems inherently unbalanced, but I do like the idea of three divisions.

With Stokes and Ali in the side why play Curran and Willey? And not a 7th batter? We have 7 frontline bowlers in the team.
