What a find Gleeson is! Bowling 90mph, saffers ruffled. Love the way his action disguises the delivery. Great stuff. I wonder if he has much of a first class record? He's 30 odd ain't he. Makes you wonder where he's been and why it's taken so long to find him. What the selectors been up to

He didn’t start until mid 20’s basically Gleeson has played a bit of red ball cricket for Lancs(and previously Northants), but none since 2019 I think. He's really struggled with serious back problems over the last 2 years or so, and so Lancs have only given him a T20 deal this season. He's always bowled quickly and rushed batsmen, but he's obviously been more consistent this year and so the selectors have taken more notice with Archer, Stone, Wood etc all being injured. He coaches bowling at local colleges around Lancashire on a PT basis to fit in around his Lancs contract.

Looks like we’ll be chasing something well north of 200.
A good test.

Already shoehorned Roussow into my Hundred team Thanks for the hint! Btw, picking a team in the hundred is tougher than the IPL. There's no really cheap players you can use for players 12-15 so your budget for your first 11 is quite tight. But finding a way to include Roussow is probably an effort worth making.

It is tougher than IPL definitely to pick 15 but I’m fairly satisfied with my side so far

South Africa would have been better dropping Roy on purpose and keeping him out there.

Sam Curran just isn’t exceptional enough with the ball or bat to be in the lineup. Willeys a better option.

Livingston continues to struggle....... I think his skills would probably suit him better as an opener. He’s playing the finishing role at the moment but it’s something he very rarely manages to do. Livingston and Buttler opening would be pretty tasty.

Would be worth a go for a game or two, I think he lacks a bit of cricketing intelligence he often gets suckered into playing the wrong shot.............

Agree with you about Livingston; bowler’s seem to set him up.

I wouldn’t ditch Malan, although many would. Just a few tweaks required for be with the batting. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. The bowling is very inconsistent though. All this said, in T20 you don’t win em all and I think we’re pretty well set.

We keep going too long with players who are hopelessly out of form, when we have players available in form. Anyway, it seems to me we want to keep left hand / right hand combinations at the wicket as long as possible which explains why it took so long for Livingston to come in yesterday. Which is fair enough with Super Mo but less so for Slight Sam.

Livingston continues to struggle....... I’ve been chopping and changing my Hundred side and have come to the conclusion Livingston is over-priced. So he’s out. I’ll be quite happy to look back on that decision with regret at the end of August, but he seems to me to be the man who hits big sixes but not big innings. And a six is a six if it clears the boundary board by inches or several yards. I think I’ve settled on my starting 11. For now!

Problem is with the first game is knowing whether players have actually arrived to play so it's worth keeping an eye on Twitter the day before a game as the teams usually announce their 13/14 man squad........
