I don’t blame Crawley for that particularly. Ok, there was no call and he was watching the ball. But what the fuck was Lees doing ambling half way down the wicket without a call. He was assuming there was going to be a run and Crawley was going. But that was a big and wrong assumption. Lees has only himself to blame for being gormless. It was an easy single It was a bloody awful shot Crawley played not long after. Mind, that reverse sweep for 6 Joe Root just played was extraordinary!

Love Kumar and what he has to say bout the game but Buttler opening ðŸ¤ðŸ˜³ðŸ¤”🤔😮 He was banging on about that earlier, otherwise he’s a really good commentator. Less said about Nick Knight the better and Butch isn’t far behind.

Love Kumar and what he has to say bout the game but Buttler opening in test cricket... ðŸ¤ðŸ˜³ðŸ¤”🤔😮 I mean, he'd be better than when we panicked and picked Roy to open but definitely not the answer to open. However, is Buttler worth another go under this new positive "brand" of cricket lower down the order?! I think that's up for debate.

Let him focus on one day cricket and leading that team when Morgan goes.

Not sure but the bloke in charge of knocking them back into shape can't believe the amount of overtime he's getting. Enough to pay for his 2nd home in Barbados I imagine..

3-0 seems harsh based on the moments NZ have had in these games but failed to capitalise on.
Good start for us though. Leach looking like a new man, Pope making me look like a poor judge of character... Bairstow going nuts at every opportunity.
Imagine if we had Archer and Wood available..

I aren’t being funny, how do you integrate a day at the test into a work day?

How much longer are they going to persevere with Crawley? No longer hopefully. 42 innings to average just over 21 (if you remove that one huge score of 267) should be more than enough evidence to get him back in the county side for the rest of the year where he can enjoy his central contract and hopefully rebuild some form. Not quite sure what to make of a probable 3-0 series whitewash against the world Test champions! Probably would've been a very different-looking series score without Bairstow, but the "Bazball" approach, if it lasts, is paying dividends for the moment. It has a touch of Kevin Keegan's Newcastle about it! Undeniably exciting, but not sure how long it'll last or if it'll work in different circumstances. But I'd much rather see a team go down swinging than trying to defend and survive, nearly always falling to a predictable tame defeat.
