www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ian-wright-wright-phillips-son-25033082It only seems like a couple of years ago that Ian Wright retired, and then his 20 year old grand son scores for our youth team. Not to.mension his dad. Interesting to see that he is another we have taken from man city (Campbell too) do we have some sort of link with Man City, or are we a genuine home for players that don't quite make the grade in Manchester.

What a crock that headline is. It wasn’t his first goal, it was like his 4th/5th or if we’re talking proper goals he’s still on 0. We’ve got a few ex Man City coaches so I’m guessing it’s their influence good place to be!

Fairytale journalism at its finest, but facts are Ian wright--->John Terry's lad---->DWP (not the social, actually the poor lads going to get a wacky nickname isn't he?) And I'm old enough to potentially see 3 generations playing the game.

As well as the coaches it’s just a natural move isn’t it?
Their academy is gold+++ standard. So if you’re not good enough for that but still want to live in Manchester and come to a good academy and have a chance then why not move an hour away?
Campbell, Dunwoody, Broome and the left back whose name I can’t remember are a few more who have done it in recent years.

Mark Burton. Individual player youth coach and David Rouse the goalkeeping coach both employed recently from Man City. Both very highly regarded in the game.
