Poor day at the office Michael. Fancy October might see a genuine recession

Our football is like a box of chocolates, we are the one with the soft centre.

We missed Smith today and the team looked unbalanced truly awful first half. We looked toothless up front but the service into them was poor. That many over hit balls. Willmot looks one footed and limited maybe he is on the wrong side of the back three Souttar again outstanding,we will be lucky to keep him next season Onwards and upwards

We keep possession at the back allowing the opposition to compose themselves then give it to the goalkeeper to punt up field for a 50/50 ball at best, we've got to cut down on this nonsense. Possession is fine as long as it's in the opposition's final third, fucking about at the back will cost us dear against better teams. What’s happened to our crisp fast incisive play gone back to being busy fools 🤷♂️ Absolutely right, and tiredness can't be the excuse for that. It's hard to understand.

We couldnt pass a turd today with mouthful of laxatives. Every pass was over hit. Every opportunity to take the ball down the wings resulted in a sideways or backwards pass. And thats just the tip of the issues today.

He might not be the complete forward but of the players we have, he is perhaps the best at closing opposition down.

Is it wrong that I can’t shake the feeling that our collapse today stemmed from Ince? Whoever was at fault for that moment of sloppiness that led to their opener I’m not entirely sure, but Ince’s body language towards Bursik was shitty as hell. It gave me flashbacks to the Jones era and I genuinely don’t think it’s a coincidence that, following that moment of negativity, we were 2-0 down. Shitty attitudes spread like a virus. I know he scored a tidy goal in the 2nd half but we’re well aware he has some class, overall though he’s a “luxury” player (I use the term lightly) who I don’t trust in a system, and who has moments that indicate his attitude might be bad.
It was a shocking day at the office though. Wilmot and Bursik both had poor games, and I’m not sure anyone covered themselves in glory.
What annoyed me most though is Derby miss an open goal, we get back to 2-1 and you’re expecting a barrage but we never truly looked like getting back into it imo. And you just know that if you flip it around there’s 0 chance we don’t end up blowing a 2 goal lead under such circumstances. Horrible day at the office and I feel far more upset than I did after Fulham. But this is the championship, as mentioned it’s a barmy league and shit like this happens. Even if we do still end up in the mix, nothing shields you from days like this in this division.

Even if we do still end up in the mix, nothing shields you from days like this in this division. You're not on your own. I was furious about Ince - attitude and action - in the first half. Everything that went wrong spiralled from his not taking on his man, jogging into a position when a sprint could have at least led to a shooting opportunity, if not a goal. He was arse farting around and didn't the see the ball coming to him and a minute later, they scored. Before that there was a pass and move option and Clucas didn't trust him twice and chose not to pass it to him. Did MoN have any other choice than to play Ince? Not sure to be perfectly honest, but he was a one man reminder of piss poor Stoke from two years ago.

I just knew we would not win the moment Ince was named in the starting line up. This guy is a waste of space, a lazy, fucking petrified jinx. We will lose more matches every time this highly-overpaid fraud takes the field.

Even if we do still end up in the mix, nothing shields you from days like this in this division. Some good points. We have to start with Doughty at RWB v Hull. A goal shouldn’t mask a poor performance. Just seen the goals and the first was a cracker based primarily on them moving the ball fast and a great shot. The second was poor from Bursik and very avoidable. The CM is a big problem. When fit for me has to be Allen, Powell, Vrancic. Yesterday was a bad day but we’re still a decent side. First really poor performance of the season it happens. The test is how we bounce back.

Just think sometimes if we are losing away with 20 mins to go in yesterday’s circumstances we could go 442.
Leo to right back, Clucas off for Doughty to play on the left in front of Tymon. Push Ince forward in front of Leo where he plays best.
Why keep 3 at the back when we only have 15/20 minutes left?
Absolutely agree though we only have Allen to play the DM role and he’s not the best there. I think if unfit he should play Thompson instead of effectively 3 8s in midfield.

For me if Davies has a good game on Tuesday night he should stay in goal for the Hull game.

Sawyers, Ince, Powell and Clucas are not exactly industrious players. They simply will not have a bar of defending. We leave a big hole in the middle and allow the opposition forwards to run right through unchallenged. As a result, many a time, our defence are made to look inadequate. I cannot understand why Ince was given a run instead of Duhaney? Why did MON even bother getting Duhaney in the first place? As for the Academy hopefuls, they are either too lousy, or too low in the pecking order. I'd even play Baath in midfield, if it means better cover for the defence. If I were manager, the four lazy amigos would be gone. We need beasts ... not fucking ballerinas.

We should have bought Ben Pearson instead of all the other drivel we forked out on at the time.

Sadly as feared these games we play abs result elsewhere are just exposing our true position 1 We Remain miles off the championships elite 2 Our recruitment remains ropey at best surridge for £2.5m , sawyers decent but not in the wrong position . Holes remain in types of player central Midfield and right wing back . We still lack goals having squandered so much 3 We have a manager whose never finished in the top half of England’s second tier or higher , has no experience int is market beige when arrived here and no real transfer winners ,never won promotion In England and seems wedded to a system that’s getting exposed . There nothing to suggest this management group can sustain a top six challenge indeed 4 points from Huddersfield , Barnsley and Derby suggests we are as far off as ever We are for me on par for another 55 point -60 season looking. at October it’s easy to see a real slide down the table as away games we so often lose are mixed with much tougher home tests Hull may be a sticking plaster but the end of October will see our true Position and that’s looking like Middle ground at best At end of the day we’ve rid ourselves of the financial burden of the past mistakes and established ourselves as a mid table championship club with solid but unproven management team , miles off getting out of this division the right way but unlikely to crash out the wrong way Let it not be said people didn't see it coming

Yes, we are in a midtable position, but the way up is short as well. We always knew these 3 games would be tough, but I think we've been extremely unlucky not to get at least 2 points from them. We can't give up hope yet!
