Cov (8th, 63pts) cant make the playoffs anymore, have Blackburn Sat, then Ipswich then QPR, could do us some favours still with no pressure Hull (7th, 69pts) have a massive game v Ipswich but crucially a final game at Plymouth Norwich (6th, 72pts) also need points to guarantee playoffs, have Brum away last game Baggies (5th, 72pts) have Sheff Weds last game Southampton (4th, 84pts) cant get automatic, have us then a final day v Leeds Blackburn have a shit or bust on Sat as last game is away at Leicester, if Plymouth dont beat Millwall on Sat they will fear the worst Huddersfield beating Brum is best for us in that game. 10 goal swing needed for them to top us, Brum then couldnt. Amazing league is the Champo, top and bottom this season. Put that calculator away Robo and chill out to some Slipknot 😉

All would be on 72 points and Coventry’s GD would be better than one of the others?

Noticed Manure were given a penalty on 61 minutes. Same old story, United in trouble at old trafford after an hour against a "lesser" team ?... give them a soft penalty at the first opportunity, it happens so often the bookies won't even quote on it.

I see Eddie Howe has blamed their defeat last night on the fact that they had a 10 day break since their last game. These PL managers complain when they have 'too many' games and then complain when they don't!

Soft? I would call it dodgy as f***. Maguire clearly dived and the contact between the players was what you normally get from any corner. No way that Sheffield Utd would be awarded a pen in the reverse scenario. Biased, flawed reffing again imo.

Coventry got a soft penalty against them when behind Any team would have been awarded that same penalty in the Final I think, as they are generally consistently given when the ball is careering towards the goal and stopped by a player's arm as was the case, but the one last night is a clear OT homer pen. No way the away team get awarded a pen if reversed. Clear dive from Maguire and the ref is standing right behind. Is there contact? Minimal, as there is on 99% of corners, usually much more than in this case.

Was soft but the Coventry penalty was one of those that haven't been given for me lately although not sure what counts as handball these days.

Hull will play a big part a both ends. They have to beat Ipswich and then Plymouth away. If Leeds win at QPR on Friday then massive pressure on Ipswich to win. A draw might not be enough as will be back in Leeds' hands
Some huge games on Saturday. Mini Rolls family pack and watch it all unfold

I went to the game last night - my first Merseyside derby - and Everton played really well.
The atmosphere from the Everton fans particularly at the start/end of the game was excellent but the Liverpool fans and players never turned up they were miles off it. Had some fun winding the Liverpool fans up, my lad sits that close to the away fans in the Upper Bullens you can almost touch them when you stretch your arm out.
I actually got a bit bored 2nd half after Calvert-Lewin's goal, as a derby it just doesn't have that edgy atmosphere that you get at others, even before and after the game both sets of fans in shirts were mixing. Not saying there's anything wrong with that per se but you just wouldn't get it a Rangers-Celtic, Newcastle-Sunderland, Portsmouth-Southampton, Stoke-Vale derby.........

Not defending the red shite at all but even if the pen wasnt given, they had scored anyway - not sure why the ref didnt watch to see what would happen next! Sheff Utds defenders were literally mauling in the box, not just a hold but properly bear hugging attackers. Reminded me of Ryan/Huth times :-)

How many goals do you see a week conceded down to teams messing around at the back? Really can't see the reasoning. Trying to outpass Man City 15 yards from your own goal is like asking Feltz to guard the last cream cake in the shop

Foden is summat else. Proper knob head, but a hell of a player. Balloon D' Or winner?. When was the last time either an English player, or even a player playing in England won it.. Dave Kitson 2008/09 I think.

That third goal sums up why pissing about with the ball at the back is a bad idea. Hate when we try and do it…..just leather the damn ball away from danger.

He's full on ejaculating every time Brighton even get anywhere near the Man City box.
