Just counting back I can see they’ve only won 6 in their last 21 games. Some run for a supposed super power I wouldn't bet against them reaching at least the semis in their home tournament. I wouldn't bet against them not getting out of their group either If they do well they will have to score lots of goals |

Because Germany is a big nogger nation and the energy and momentum will be very helpful. So why is that different to other tournaments? Because within them Germany have the capacity to do well despite being a poor side. 2006 they reached the semi when they were in disarray prior to it. That was hosts feelgoood factor driving them on. |

NI 2 up now Denmark struggled v San Marino recently they have dropped off a lot since the last Euros It's very disappointing of course. Bizarrely it's the same group of players, apart from from the addition of Højlund when he isn't injured. When fit he's very good, not like what you see at Manure. With the exception of Schmeichel who's 37, all the players should be in the prime of their years and doing even better than in the last Euros. But they're very inconsistent and frankly don't seem to care whether they lose or not - of course they'll deny that, but performances don't lie. The problem is probably that we just have this group of 12-14 decent players, so, even when they do badly, they will still be selected again and again. |

I always believed the British game was as honest as the day is long. My mind is changing. In Europe it must be bloody rife! The scandalous decisions this past week alone are truly shocking, tonight, Wales game, Johnson gets mauled two arms around him to the ground, as big a penalty as you would see, not given. Up the other end, the slightest touch on a Turk and its a pen. VAR not even looking at Kanes, I could go on. Its ever likely people are falling out of love with the game. Roll on Satdee  |

An eventful game for Jamaica away to Canada in Toronto last night with Daniel Johnson playing the full game. It was the second leg of the CONCACAF Nations League Quarter Final, Canada having won the first leg in Kingston 2-1 last Saturday. Jamaica came from 1-0 down on the night to win the tie 3-2 with a late penalty scored by Bobby DeCordova-Reid of Fulham, they held on despite going down to 10 men when Demarai Gray was sent off. With the aggregate score 4-4 Jamaica go through on away goals.
Johnson will now probably play in the Nations League finals in Texas during March and in next summers Copa America which is taking place in the USA at the same time as the Euro Finals.

Pot One: Germany Portugal France Spain Belgium England Pot Two: Hungary Turkiye Romania Denmark Albania Austria Pot Three: Netherlands Scotland Croatia Slovenia Slovakia Czechia Pot Four: Italy Serbia Switzerland plus 3 play off winners Some potential tricky groups with those pots. |
