It's rare these days I watch much other than stoke, but it feels watching this that football between the two best teams in the country in 2023 looks more like a la liga game than something like an arsenal v man utd clash from 20 years ago. It's incredibly technical rather than the physical/mental warfare that the top level used to be. I don't think it's a complement.

I think Pep has destroyed our game. All of this keep-ball nonsense. It's all right if you've got top players, but it's spread itself across all of our football, to the extent that most of the games are boring. There's no incentive to attack. Keep the ball for 90 minutes, & go home with a point!

What a game of football I've watched tonight, Radcliffe 4 Macclesfield Town 3 top of the table clash. The quality was excellent and better than a lot of Championship games I've seen. Genuinely every time I watch Radcliffe I comment on how slick their passing is compared to us, we seem to struggle to find a player in red and white more often than not.
Macc 3 up after 20 mins, Radcliffe 4-3 up after 60 odd minutes. Not sure what the crowd was but I imagine around 1,500.
Non-league football is ace..............
