Nice goal for AEK… Sidibe Was in Athens last night. And every Greek I spoke to told me AEK were playing Bristol City. I tried to correct them but they were having none of it. Clearly Bristol City are admired in Greece. BTW only one person knew who Stoke were because he had a neighbour called Rob who supported Stoke. Wonder if he’s amongst the Oatcake fraternity🤔 |

Yes I was 10 too when he scored that spectacular diving header against Ipswich on his debut and we all thought he was the new messiah! Great example of VAR working perfectly there in the Brighton match, overturning two massively wrong decisions in one viewing! |

Apparently he scored loads for Toon, so my uncle used to bleat on 😁 Not so much for us…. Yes VAR worked well there, doesn’t give you much hope in the ref though, poor lad missed a blatant . |

Watching our game on dodgy stick thing I had our pictures but bizarrely commentary for about 20 minutes of the Blackburn Sunderland match, sounded lively I've seen some Sunderland fans expecting auto promotion, don't see that but do look in good nick despite no genuine striker If the board keep calm whoever a few defeats come along looks like a good season Majority of us won’t expect automatic promotion, we’d be happy with another play off push. We do have a few recognised strikers mind, just they’re not making an impact in front of goal at the moment! |

My Greek son-in-law and grandson are AEK supporters and they certainly know about Stoke City. Do they live in Athens? No - Nea Makri about an hour away. AEK is a team founded by Greeks expelled from Turkey after a war about 100 years ago. They sing about that at their matches. Nea Makri was founded by exiles from Turkey as well so there are lots of AEK supporters there. I love Athens, hope you enjoy your time there. |

Can see in real time why he didn't give the first and such a spectacular fall. The second one , leg touches him and he takes off. Looks far different in slow mo of course |

Yep Both a case of feeling the contact and going into Wayne Sleep mode. As you say, think the ref saw that and if not for VAR would have backfired. |
