Martin will never change the way he plays whatever club he manages and when it goes wrong it’s comical I notice Souttar is nowhere to be seen again tonight in the 18

Genuinely hilarious game, this. A travesty if these sides finish top two.

Russ Martin will be cumming hard at this start - loves his team to give it away around their own box. I'll never understand why he keeps getting hired. He seems to be rated for being unswerving in his tactics, despite the fact that they don't provide success. Whatever happened to winning games being the key metric? Once his teams are accustomed to what he wants, they're usually pretty good but have wasted half of the season making the same mistakes over and over and over again. They'll come good later in the season, it just depends where they are at that point/if they'll give him the time. Surely there's a compromise. 2-0 - dozy football from both teams but Saints fans creaking.

Just a bit unconvinced tbf, although they’ve ground out a couple of results so who knows!

Give it 18 months and he'll be phoning your mum to try to get her to invest her savings into something that is definitely not* a pyramid scheme. *it's a pyramid scheme

Well, obviously, but it's also obvious that a team that focusses on defending had to sacrifice attacking ambition as a result. So my point is that when a lot of teams in the division don't seem to defend well, a team that is more defensive-minded could do well, as there's every chance of nicking a cheap goal at the other end.

Soton are seriously leaking goals already this season. They have a decent bunch of players but the way they are trying to play is gifting goals as they did at Sunderland. Of course defensive sides can be successful, Preston are doing a decent job of that so far but Soton are a mess. Get the feeling a decent manager though could have them playing well and to their strengths. No idea what they're doing. Nice finishes by Leicester but being given time and space. The few times Soton have gone long, got it into the last 3rd they look dangerous enough.
