I wasn’t too bothered who went up but feel for Barnsley after 70 minutes with 10 men. I guess it’s usually preferable for a team who finished so many points ahead of the their opponents to get their reward. On another note, Clinton fucking Morrison. In any other walk of life he’d be released for failing to fulfill his role Or Clinton "to be fair" Morrison, to give you his full name. The worst pundit in TV punditry history.

You probably said the same about Sunderland a year ago. They're a big club with momentum. At the minute, I'm worried about everyone. Huge fan base no longer equals big club It's not 1985 anymore I'm not on about that anyway, I'm saying it'll be a tougher division and we need to get our act together. That is all. Plus I know what year it is thanks.

Hate pens they’re brutal. Never fair. The playoffs should never be decided by penalties. In my opinion there is an obvious solution when a play off match finishes level - the team who finished higher in the league go up. At least today the right team went up. Imagine if Coventry had gone up on penalties having finished ten points behind. That would have been brutal on Luton I love penalties. I hate it when someone wins in extra time and deprives us all of penalties 😩.

This is going to be a tough division next season Leeds Leicester Southampton Ipswich Sheff Weds We really need to start getting our ducks in a row sharpish That would be the Leicester who currently have a wageroll of £160m+, debts of £260m+, lost around £100m last year, have taken out loans on their future Premier League TV deal, which they won't now be getting, and on which they are paying around £16m a year in interest and have allowed the contracts on £100m of players run out? Sure they will get a good fee for Maddison, but that might end up being used to service their debts. Leicester might bounce straight back, but, they could equally go straight through.

I’m very happy that Sheffield Wednesday won today, but I feel for the Barnsley supporters.
The keeper should have done better with the header, but he played very well until that point. That’s the curse of being a goalkeeper: you can make endless great saves in a match but the one mistake will stand out. That said, the Wednesday player shouldn’t be able to make the header if the defenders had done their job.

Wednesday finished 10 points clear of Barnsley in 3rd place- deserved it imo.

It's a tough game sometimes.

Its amazing how often posters on the Oatcake say it feels like we are cursed. Occasionally I respond. When I was 11, just after we won the League Cup, a Romany lad who was a friend of mine told me there there was a "gypsy curse" (his words) on the club, that was we wouldn't win a major trophy for a hundred years, and it ran out just before we won the cup. He said that after we won the cup the curse was renewed for another hundred years. Given the character of the lad, I'm 100% certain he wasn't winding me up. If the Coates family are reading this, you've seen Peaky Blinders, and you know what to do. And I've said this before. On behalf of the club you've got to apologise, and pay reparations, to the Romany people, to compensate for the eviction of their people from Sweetings Field in Stoke in the 19th century, which was arranged by the club to make way for a football ground. As I say, I've said this on here before, and I'm actually being serious, I'm not joking. 🙂 x peace and love Perhaps, if we all behave really well from now until the end of the year and don’t ask for anything else, Santa will bring us a trophy instead 😂 Yes I think that's quite possible. Such a massive show of collective good intentions by all us supporters would have a corressponding positive effect on the club. In witchcraft it's called The Law Of Attraction. I think that's a good idea i like it

I hate cup matches when only one team tries to win and the other clings on hoping for penalties. I would rather have an exciting match than a penalty shootout at the end of a boring 0-0.

There's an old timer Wednesday fan on the flight I'm on going to Belfast from Manchester, obviously had a great weekend.
He said his uncle used to play for Stoke around the time of Sir Stan, Grimsdale I think he said.

Northwich town centre seems to be full of plastic mancs in knock off Man United tops. I won't be watching it, heading off to Salop for the afternoon.

Just got home after seeing Central Coast Mariners, managed by Ex Sheffield Utd player Nick Montgomery beat Melbourne City (owned by the company that owns Man City 6-1 in the A League GF. Unbelievable game with Melbourne hot favourites after easily winning the league. There was a young winger called Samuel Silvera who scored one and beautifully set up the 5th with a cross from the outside of his right foot. Sign him up Stoke as he has skill and amazing pace. Wikipedia says he’s English.
