Fantastic tonight. Paul Gascoigne as well. He's changed a bit.

I've only seen a few minutes of this programme but I heard Paula White talking about it on Radio Stoke yesterday. She basically said that whilst fishing leaves her cold she's a fan of the presenters and gave it a go. She thought it was hilarious.

Love how they’ve mixed mid summer with Christmas in this Christmas's shows.

Watched it last night. Melancholy comedy at its brilliant best.
OS.

It's great tv.
Bob always seems to give really thoughtful presents to Paul and get fuck all back!

Brilliant show, which nearly could get into me fishing if my experience wasn't truly humbling when I went with my grandad..
Paul Whitehouse reminds me of my grandad and Bob reminds me of me fishing with the poor old bugger and driving him to the point of exasperation..
Having caught the same tiddler 5 times and then seeing grandads cap in the river when I casted out my line made me say never again.
Bob is great in anything to be fair from Taskmaster to WILTY and anything in between.

"STOP WINDING!!"
"I'm not winding Paul"
"Bob what are you doing?"
"I'm winding Paul, sorry"
...Paul fuchs off shaking his head.

Seen this beautiful series but missed the last series somehow? I was foreseen that Gazzer would make a guest appearance but was genuinely staggered that Paul and Jacqui would make a guest appearance on their Christmas do. 😂

I love this programme and haven't missed an episode. Some really beautiful locations, lovely atmosphere, a nice simple idea, and really nice telly just listening to these two mates. My wife doesn't usually watch it but even she enjoyed the 2020 Christmas special with Chris Rea in it and has since watched nearly all the other episodes on i-player.
As a result I was given their book for Christmas but all I can say is don't hother. The cover say's "laugh out loud funny" but apart from a couple of fairly amusing moments it was a dull read tbh. It does talk about their heart problems and early lives, but really is mainly just about fishing - types of rod, reel, line, different casts, flies, floats, when and where to fish, different river fish characteristics etc etc. Not what I expected and quite disappointing overall.

Same. It's just a rather obvious tie-in money spinner, isn't it.
