Pretty shameful reading that.
Not quite sure the next time the British army appears on a foreign land they'll be too much help from the locals if they read that π

www.bbc.com/news/uk-68332923Just utterly, utterly disgraceful. A real scourge on our pathetic country. Nothing that we didn't already know and suspect, but it makes me fucking sick.

A difficult read on so many levels not least the allegation that the action is an attempt to potentially cover up War Crimes. Afghan Soldiers who fought alongside British Special Forces forced into hiding to protect themselves and their families The Article goes on to flat out accuse the Armed Forces Minister of lying to Parliament either because he was misled or deliberately. Shocking

ShockingΒ It's one of those where you hope it's not true, but you know full well it is. Why are we incapable of getting things right first time around? Always seems to be a slapdash approach to later review, once called out for the shit show that it is.

Do some research on operation cyclone and women's rights in Afghanistan in the 70s. You'll soon find out who funded, supported and armed the taliban and where Afghanistan problems started.

We're currently waiting for confirmation of an Afghan family moving into our bungalow in Congleton, the admin and a paperwork is proving a bit of a nightmare. Been empty since the Ukrainian family we had living their moved back home (cue jokes about living in a war zone being more preferable to Buglawton )

Womens rights have never been the same since. But don't expect our bbc to talk about that. We only weaponise women's rights when it's for our favour. Probably why you never see propoganda of Afghanistan in the 70s like you would with Iran.

In yesterdayβs observer they are now saying they want to be sent back to Afghanistan because of how they are been treated here , I wish I new how to put the link up , itβs making a mockery of Operation Welcome Afghanistan must be Heaven on Earth. I will never forget the program on TV where ladies from Afghanistan were in shock, they said, how bad the Swedish social system worked compared to where they came from. At home they had no queues to anything, they said
